Construction walls and tarps went up in the lobby of Disney’s BoardWalk Inn last month as refurbishment work began. The restrooms near the resort’s elevator are now closed and blocked for their own refurbishment.
A white curtain blocks the entrance to the restrooms. Blue painter’s tape is on the ground around some of the tiles.
A sign directs guests to the restrooms inside Trattoria al Forno and near Side Show Games Arcade.
The lobby will receive “light and airy touches” during the update, which will also include guest room refurbishments.
The lobby is just the most recent refurbishment project to begin at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. Carousel Coffee opened in late December and has received a few updates in the weeks since. The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers will soon be taking over the former ESPN Club building. These new additions join the BoardWalk Deli, which opened during the summer of 2022.
The resort is modeled after turn-of-the-century boardwalks in coastal cities such as Coney Island and Atlantic City. Disney stated they intend to keep this theme.
