Is Disney keeping a SECRET?

According to a casting call on Disney’s Career and Auditions website, one attraction at a Disney park is going to CHANGE soon. Here’s what we know so far about the update!

Disney is currently looking for singers, dancers, and actors for a “New limited-run musical at the Hyperion Theatre [at] Disneyland Resort.” The casting call doesn’t specify which musical will be playing at the theatre.

In the description for the roles, Disney states that the new show will be “an exciting new Broadway-caliber theatrical production.” It will be available for a “limited time” inside the Hyperion Theatre.

Although Disney didn’t specify the characters that actors will be playing, you can see a list of the type of actors they’re planning to cast. One role is for 3 women who “are a fun, energetic, and musical sisterhood that acts as the occasional ‘Greek Chorus.’” Could we be seeing a Hercules production soon? 

That Chorus could be the Muses from Hercules, but keep in mind that a Greek Chorus is a general theatrical device that could be used in any performance. It’s just another word for a set of performers who comment on the actions and drama in the play.

Other performers include a female who is “brave, resourceful, and intelligent” with “a strong English accent”; a “young man coming into his greatness”; a male who is “decisive, capable, principled, and has a wry sense of humor” and “leads others with attitude and swagger”; and a “noble, loyal, idealistic, and romantic do-gooder, who does not give up easily.”
