Put the pedal to the metal with the new Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster tank top, pullover, and mug available at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We found the apparel in Rock Around the Shop, but the mug was in Celebrity 5 & 10.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Tank – $34.99
The tank top is pink with a guitar on the front.
“Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster” and “Merge like you’ve never merged before” are on ribbons across the guitar.
It’s the same design featured on an open edition pin released a week ago.
The side of the top has dangling strings of fabric, so it looks like a concert T-shirt that has been altered.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Pullover – $54.99
The pullover features the design from the other recently released pin, reading, “Put the pedal to the metal” around a winged limo.
The background is a cloudy gray and white.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Mug – $19.99
This stoneware mug is 767 ml / 27 oz. It also features the “Put the pedal to the metal” design.
The design is light gray with black details, set against a black speckled background.
The handle looks like a loop of fire.
“Make it a super stretch” is on the other side with the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster logo and “since 1999,” the opening year of the attraction.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will be closing later this month for a long refurbishment. Disney did not announce details about the refurbishment, but it would likely only include general maintenance, not any changes to the actual experience. However, this could change following a recent lawsuit against Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler for sexual assault.
In 2016, Disney digitally altered a hand gesture by Tyler that could be considered obscene.
The ride was also a 2002 opening day attraction in Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris but was recently replaced by Avengers Assemble: Flight Force, which utilizes the same track.
