As the annual monolith of a television event that is the Super Bowl approaches, entering its 57th year in 2023, Disney is expected to debut new trailers for at least four of their upcoming films, with a couple of others also likely. Now we have details on which of these films are expected to get some attention!
The four expected films to receive attention are “Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3,” “The Little Mermaid,” Pixar’s “Elemental,” and one last trailer for “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.” Super Bowl TV spots this year cost $7 million for 30 seconds, so these are likely to be shorter bite-size trailers unless Disney really wants to pony up.
Two other films could also see nods during the big game — “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” and “The Marvels” both are anticipated for later this year, and the Super Bowl is often a big chance to tease big releases like these.
Out of each of these films, “The Little Mermaid” has gone the longest without new details, its sole trailer so far debuted back in September. Meanwhile no trailer or poster has been released at all for “The Marvels.”
Those hoping to watch the big game can catch it nationally on your local Fox channel, with kickoff starting at 6:30p.m. Eastern (3:30p.m. Pacific).
