Florida Governor Ron DeSantis will be at Reedy Creek Fire Station this morning, Greg Angel with Spectrum News 13 Tweeted.
DeSantis will be signing legislation into law allowing the Florida government to take over Reedy Creek Improvement District. The legislation passed the Florida House of Representatives and Senate earlier this month.
Walt Disney World President Jeff Vahle said they are “ready to work” with the government as they take control of Reedy Creek.
House Bill 9B will rename the district the Central Florida Tourism Oversight Board and consist of a board appointed only by the governor of Florida residents who cannot have worked in the theme park industry within three years. It will no longer dissolve the district on June 1, 2023. Walt Disney World will no longer lose their tax exemptions.

We got our first look at the new TRON Lightcycle / Run-inspired theming inside Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. at Magic Kingdom.
New lighting is visible through the store’s windows and doors at night.
There is mostly white lighting, but also lines of orange and blue around the silver-gray walls, presumably representing the two teams who are racing through the Grid on the ride.
The last time we were able to see inside Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. was in January, and the interior still appeared gutted.
Gear theming has been removed from the front of the gift shop, and the name has been covered, suggesting it may be changed.
Here is what Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. looked like when it closed in August 2022.
TRON Lightcycle / Run will open to all guests on April 4, 2023, and Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. is expected to reopen around the same time. The new roller-coaster has had Cast Member previews, and Annual Passholder, Disney Vacation Club, and D23 previews will begin soon.

Shanghai Disneyland has announced that the red panda version of Mei from “Turning Red” will be meeting guests in the parks this spring.
