More Fencing Installed as Construction Continues at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
About two weeks ago, Disney closed the pathway between Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and the Magic Kingdom due to ongoing construction at the flagship resort.
When we last reported on the progress of the construction, Disney was in the process of moving equipment in and completing the construction walls. Now, the walls have been completed, and a smaller, “decorative” type of picket fence has been added.
The smaller white picket fence runs a short distance down the pathway where little to no construction is taking place.
Following the walkway alongside the Sago Cay building, we can see where the larger white construction walls pick up from where the smaller fence leaves off.
It also appears workers have laid down plywood panels across the un-landscaped portion of the grounds.
Has the construction at Disney’s Grand Floridan Resort & Spa caused you any inconvenience? Let us know in the comments below.

Find Out Why an ICONIC Disney Parade Was Canceled Today
It’s a BIG year for Disneyland.
As part of The Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary celebrations, Disney shared that the “Magic Happens” Parade will be returning to Disneyland Resort. It was supposed to make its return today, but that didn’t happen!
Disney previously announced that the “Magic Happens” Parade would return to Disneyland on February 24th, 2023. We were in the park waiting for it to start when we were informed that the parade was canceled due to rain!
Unfortunately, when we checked the Disneyland website, no more showtimes were listed for today. It looks like the parade will have to make its return another day!
We’ll be on the lookout for the “Magic Happens” Parade once it finally does come back to Disneyland, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB for more!
Check out the “Magic Happens” Parade here.

‘World of Color — ONE’ and ‘Fantasmic!’ Cancelled Due to Inclement Weather at Disneyland Resort
Previously, Disneyland Resort announced the inaugural performances of “Magic Happens” today have been cancelled due to inclement weather at the resort. Now it seems the nighttime entertainment slate has also been cancelled for the day.
Listings in the Disneyland app currently show “Fantasmic!” and “World of Color — ONE” with “There are no showtimes today.” Curiously, “Wondrous Journeys” is still scheduled with fireworks, but we expect that to change later in the day. Cancellations are somewhat common for “Fantasmic!,” although “World of Color” being cancelled is much more rare.
Incidentally, “Celebrate Gospel” has also been cancelled for the rest of the day.
The Weather Channel forecasts that in the Anaheim area it will rain all day today, and winds are gusting in excess of 20mph, an unsafe level for the parade even without the rain. The rain is set to continue tomorrow, although winds will be at a much more manageable 8mph most of the day.
Are you disappointed to see entertainment cancelled at Disneyland Resort today? Let us know in the comments below!
