If you’ve been keeping up with Disney World news, you’ll know that April 4th, 2023, is a big day for Magic Kingdom.

That’s the day the park’s newest ride, TRON Lightcycle / Run will officially open! This is an exciting new type of attraction for Disney World that combines a roller coaster ride with motorcycle-style seating and eye-catching light displays. If you can’t wait to ride TRON, there’s a Park Pass UPDATE that you need to know about. 

Currently, the attraction is in previews, where select groups like Cast Members and Annual Passholders can register to ride TRON ahead of time. Even with a few chances for individuals to check out the attraction before it opens, we are still anticipating Magic Kingdom to be busier than usual on this ride’s official opening day. Park Pass Reservations are still required to enter the park, (although by the time TRON opens Annual Passholders won’t need a reservation to enter the parks after 2PM) so there is a high probability that Magic Kingdom could book up for the day.

Early in January, only 24 hours after Disney announced TRON’s opening date, Magic Kingdom Park Pass Reservations for Annual Passholders were completely booked for April 4th. Passholders who were unable to snag a reservation would have to pay for a separate ticket or hotel room to try and make a reservation as a regular guest or hope that the park isn’t too full to allow for Park Hopping later in the day. Of course, Disney did open up registration for Annual Passholders to preview TRON Lightcycle / Run, but many guests reported difficulties with the system and were unable to secure a spot.

Annual Passholders who haven’t received a preview spot or Park Pass Reservation for TRON’s opening day may believe they’re out of luck, but we have some good news! We noticed on the Incredi Pass calendar that Magic Kingdom was showing availability for park passes at Magic Kingdom on April 4th. Other dates leading up to the date were booked, but earlier today TRON’s opening day was still available.

This may have been Disney’s doing to appease guests after the messy preview registration, although it is possible that other Passholders canceled their reservations after snagging a preview spot. Either way, if you’re still hoping to visit TRON on its official opening day you may still be able to book your park pass reservation at Magic Kingdom after all!

As of writing, Park Passes for Magic Kingdom on April 4th are still sold out for Passholders with a Sorcerer Pass, and Pirate and Pixie Dust Passes are blocked out on that date. There are Magic Kingdom Park Passes available on April 4th for guests with regular theme park tickets.

Any day is a good day if we have pizza.

A whole day DEDICATED to pizza? Now that’s just heaven! Tuesday, March 14th (3.14), is known as Pi Day — a day to indulge in pizza pies, and definitely not focus on anything mathematical. (Unless of course, we’re figuring out how many slices of pizza we should each eat.) And that means something very special is happening in Disney Springs!

On March 14th, 2023, you can participate in Pi Day with Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza in Disney Springs as this spot is offering each customer one 11-inch pizza for only $3.14!

Of course, there are a few things you need to know. You have to order your food in-person at the Blaze Pizza restaurant. Also, any crust upgrades and certain toppings will still include an upcharge. Still, that’s a good deal!

What’s even better is that you can add one topping to your pizza without an upcharge if you order after 3:14PM on March 14th!

If you need us on March 14th, you know where we’ll be. And if you’re not going to be in Disney Springs on the 14th, you can head to the nearest Blaze Pizza location to take advantage of this deal — most locations are participating in the celebration!

Disney is bringing it back old school style with their latest 100th Anniversary collection!

The Disney100 20s Decades Collection features designs taken from and inspired by the iconic animated film Steamboat Willie. This black-and-white movie premiered in 1928 and was one of the first cartoons with synchronized sound, so it’s no surprise that Disney wanted to pay homage to such a legendary success!

As with many of Disney’s merch lines, this collection included a pair of ears. These have Mickey Mouse as Steamboat Willie front and center. The Mickey Mouse Steamboat Willie Ear Headband for Adults debuted on shopDisney along with the rest of the 20s Decades Collection earlier this week, but we just found these ears at Disney World for the first time today!

If you’re visiting the parks and want to grab a pair for yourself, head over to Buena Vista Gifts at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. We found these ears there for $39.99. The ears, along with everything else in the collection, are entirely black and white, just like the movie!

Each soft ear has a different scene from the film, from the iconic whistling moment to the confrontation with Captain Peg Leg Pete. There are four images total with different designs on the front and the back.

The ears and headband are trimmed with white, nautical rope. On the side of the headband is a silver plaque with the Disney100 logo and “Decades” engraved.

The ears are also detailed with tiny charms of music notes and life preservers for a fun, 3D effect!

Now, Disney World guests can shop these ears while on vacation, but if you are admiring this pair from home you can also purchase them on shopDisney! Online they are listed for the same price as in the parks — $39.99.

A little under a month after the Disney100 celebration kicked off at the Disneyland Resort, we’d seen neither hide nor hair of the Disney100 Star Glow Cube promised to us last month. But today, it finally arrived at Corn Dog Castle in Disney California Adventure!

Disney100 Star Glow Cube – $6.19

The Disney100 Star Glow Cube is available at Corn Dog Castle in Paradise Gardens Park at Disney California Adventure.

The star is shaped just like the wishing star which tops Sleeping Beauty Castle across the Esplanade for the 100 Years of Wonder celebration.

True to its name, it glows, changing between light blue, purple, and silver — the colors of the Disney100 celebration.

Not only is it available at Corn Dog Castle, but we also spotted it on the menu of Bengal Barbecue, Refreshment Corner, Mint Julep Bar, Harbour Galley, Rancho del Zocado Restaurante, Hungry Bear Restaurant, Red Rose Taverne, and Galactic Grill at Disneyland Park.

You can of course pair this with plenty of souvenir items for the Disney100 celebration, including the Thermo tumbler, the travel tumbler, the Mickey Mouse sipper, and the poison apple mug! The straw clip and Cinderella popcorn bucket still have yet to appear, however.
