While TRON Lightcycle / Run is finally operational and currently going through Cast Member previews, the construction on the former “Tomorrowland Light & Power Co.” nearby continues.
Today we noticed these new glass panels installed on the side of the building. Since this panel is flanked by sets of doors on either side, our guess is that this new panel will house a window display.
Guests are currently walking next to the building as a makeshift walkway using barricades has been made while construction is completed.
Part of the refurbishment so far has seen the removal of most of the Tomorrowland 1994 elements from the shop, including the giant gears above the entrance, the clock, the electrical tower mural, and themed signage.
The shop has been closed since August 1, 2022, and the interior has been gutted.
We expect that this shop will be serving as the TRON Lightcycle / Run exit shop and may get a new moniker to match once construction is complete.
