Two new rugs adorn the lobby of the Great Ceremonial House at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Not all of the old rugs have been replaced, but the new ones are in the front left corner, near BouTiki.
They are more blue than the old rugs, with large leaf and flower designs.
They have an artifical weathering to them.
The leaves are made of thick white lines.
The tropical flowers are bright orange with a white outline.
The orange flowers pop below the whicker chairs with orange seats.
Nearby is an old rug, which is more red and brown than the new ones.
It’s made up of diamond and stripe designs.

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has been undergoing a refurbishment and reimagining over the past few years, with a new Monorail station, updated Disney Vacation Club deluxe studios, “Moana”-themed rooms, and updated main entrance.
Right now, a new Disney Vacation Club wing is under construction where the Spirit of Aloha dinner show used to be. The show never reopened following the March 2020 closure due to COVID-19.
The Kiki Tikis Splash Play Area was also repainted and refreshed. Currently, the Lava Pool slide is closed for refurbishment.
