Summer House on the Lake at Disney Springs has made significant progress since we last checked on the location. The construction walls have come out way more, causing a bit of traffic in the area. Hopefully, all the shoulder bumping and gliding through groups of people will all be worth it in the end.
Today I walked around the construction site, starting from the side that faces the water. As I passed through, I began to think how gorgeous of a view there would be on this side. I am 99.9% sure that is where they will have outdoor seating, and if not, they will have huge windows that overlook the water.
Not only have the walls expanded, making a small walkway between Jaleo and the future restaurant, but these walls give a glimpse into what the menu will look like. I saw photos of cookies, salads, pizza, and even a breakfast-looking toast with eggs. Hopefully, that means they will have brunch on the weekends.
Some of the walls had small cracks in them, so my nosy self tried to look into the cracks, and all I saw were bricks and dirt, nothing too exciting.
There are also photos on the construction walls that show what the feel and vibe of the restaurant will be, and from what I saw, it seems like it will be laid back and have a beachy theme to it.
I think this will become the perfect hangout spot for moviegoers due to its location. Summer House on the Lake will be located right in front of the AMC Theater. This will make for a perfect date night or afternoon. You can grab some food and watch the newest movie that hit the theater all while at Disney Springs.
