PHOTOS: Tour the New Moana Rooms at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort!

It’s about time we revisited this popular Deluxe Resort — we’re back again with another room tour, this time at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort!

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

One of the three Monorail resorts, along with the Grand Floridian and the Contemporary Resort, the Polynesian is a favorite for its close proximity to Magic Kingdom as well as its strong theming. When you’re at the Polynesian resort, you feel like you’re on a tropical getaway!

The Polynesian has plenty of amenities to keep you and your family engaged when you’re not in the parks. From gorgeous pools

… to tasty dining

‘OHANA NOODLES!

… there’s plenty to offer. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is also one of the only places where you can find DOLE Whip outside of the parks!

We love Pineapple Lanai!

You might have noticed a fair amount of construction going on around both the Polynesian and Grand Floridian resorts. Part of this overhaul includes new room theming, and the rooms at the Polynesian have received a re-design inspired by Moana! We can’t wait to show you what the new rooms look like, so keep reading to check them out.

Our room had an atmosphere that blended a Polynesian theme with modern design. The standard rooms come with either a king bed and day bed or two queen beds and a day bed, so they sleep up to five people. As you step inside you can see the bathroom is on your left and closet on your right before it opens up to the main part of the room.

Entry way

Here you can see the entirety of the main sleeping area. The color palette is based around this calming tan shade that’s complimented by pops of teal and orange. We have to say, this room was not short on storage!

Good amount of space

Besides the main dresser below the TV, there is a generous three-door closet next to this coffee bar.

Inside are some complimentary hangers, spare bedding, a safe, and even a full-length mirror!

Perfect for checking out your look

The coffee bar is supplied with a Keurig and all you need for a nice cup of joe in the morning.

Fully stocked!

Below is a mini-fridge, perfect for storing your dinner leftovers for a midnight snack.

In between the beds is a nightstand with plugs for your chargers and the brand-new Hey Disney digital assistant! There’s also even more storage underneath.

Hey Disney!

Each bed also has its own small side table as well as a bench for lounging or holding luggage.

Which bed are you claiming?

For other seating options, there’s an arm chair and the couch that also serves as a day bed. You can also see the massive windows perfect for letting in the Florida sunshine! (Although there are also blackout curtains for those who’d prefer to sleep in.)

Seating area

The couch has adorable Moana-inspired cushions, plus it comes with a handy tag showing instructions on how to convert it into a bed.

Comfy for lounging

This is what it looks like when it’s in bed-mode!

Time to sleep!

Over in the bathroom, you have plenty of room to get ready for a full day in the parks. There are two sinks, a large shower, and a separate toilet room.

Double sinks!

This is an excellent size for a hotel shower, plus it has two shower heads! Check out the Moana art on the wall too.

Check out that shower!

The shower is fully stocked …

We can almost smell it

… and even more H2O products can be found on the counter.

These are coming home with us.

There are plenty of Moana touches across the room. From this wallpaper inspired by Maui’s tattoos …

Maui, hero to all!

… to this lampshade

I am Moanaaaaa!

… to the adorable Heihei above the coffee station, there are plenty of details throughout this room that we enjoyed searching for.

Keep an eye on him!

We don’t want to spoil all of the surprises, so be sure to look for all of the references the next time you visit the Polynesian Resort! Prices for these rooms do vary depending on the dates, but with it being a Deluxe Resort you will be paying more than most other Disney hotels. We hope you enjoyed this in-depth look at this new room, and be sure to stay tuned for even MORE resort room tours!
