A commercial development that may include a shopping center, restaurants, and a hotel is being developed for land near Disney’s All-Star Resorts, according to Orlando Business Journal.
Lake Wilson Enterprises LLC purchased the 9.2-acre plot of land in August 2019 for $6 million. It’s in Osceola County, at the southeast corner of Funie Steed Road and Morgan Williams Road, just southwest of the resorts. Chris Leppert with Kimley-Horn filed a meeting request on behalf of the landowner and the property will be discussed at a pre-application development meeting today, February 15.
This project is still in the early stages of development, but it could bring in jobs for construction contractors and eventually workers for the various businesses.
We previously reported on some unrelated refurbishment going on around the All Star Resorts.
