REVIEW: Disney Put a Unique Twist on a Classic Dessert (and We’re OBSESSED)

Black History Month has kicked off in Disneyland with Celebrate Soulfully!

We’ve had some epic treats at Jolly Holiday!

Celebrate Soulfully brings new merchandise, new characters, new entertainment, AND new food (the most important thing, right?) to the resort. So we’re headed over to one of our FAVORITE spots to grab a new treat, and, y’all, it’s a Peach Cobbler…DONUT.

Yes, you read that right. Disney has put that Southern classic dessert peach cobbler ON A DONUT. So the Peach Cobbler Donut is a vanilla-dipped donut filled with peach compote and topped with a Mickey-shaped cinnamon sugar puff. We’re going to quote Uncle Jesse here, and say “Have mercy!”

It’s shaped like Mickey

Okay, so how does this thing taste? Well, the donut was fresh and cakey. The frosting had a sweet vanilla taste. The compote in the middle tasted fresh, too — almost as if they just stuffed fresh peaches into the center of the donut.

YUMMY

The cinnamon puff had a flakey texture but the cinnamon didn’t overwhelm the other flavors. That, combined with the cinnamon crumbs, just made this donut something we’ll be getting AGAIN AND AGAIN, at least while it lasts (it’s a limited-time snack, and that is a shame!).

That’s a perfect donut!

This thing is EPIC.

If you want to try this out for yourself, you can find it at Jolly Holiday Bakery in Disneyland for $7.49. We’re also not done trying out all the Celebrate Soulfully snacks (and the Valentine’s Day snacks), so be sure to stay tuned to DFB for more reviews.

Here’s Why You May Want to Avoid Disneyland on March 8th
