Punxsutawney Phil predicted we’re in for a few more weeks of winter, which is bad news for those of us who are longing for sunnier skies.

Despite the gloomy outlook, we can still pretend it’s summer by taking part in our favorite warm-weather activities like snacking on sweet treats, and this new item in Disneyland might be just the thing to cheer us up.

The Tropical Hideaway can be found tucked away between Jungle Cruise and the Enchanted Tiki Room. After your adventures at those attractions, you can hit up this quick service location for a variety of international dishes. It’s also your go-to spot for that classic Disney park treat: DOLE Whip!

The Tropical Hideaway offers both classic DOLE Whip items as well as some more unique takes, like the new Strawberry Dole Whip Sundae. Strawberry DOLE Whip is blended with fresh diced strawberries and topped with pieces of shortcake and strawberry drizzle in a treat that certainly makes us forget all about that winter weather.

The actual sundae didn’t look too different from the picture, although some of the shortcake pieces sunk into the DOLE Whip quickly. If you don’t like soggy cake, you’ll want to eat that part first! There was a generous amount of strawberries inside too.

The strawberry DOLE Whip had a very fresh flavor and didn’t taste artificial at all, so it didn’t compete with the fresh strawberries mixed in. The drizzle added even more sugar to this already sweet snack.

The vanilla flavor of the shortcake was the perfect compliment to the strawberries. This is a fun, frozen take on a classic strawberry shortcake.

We weren’t the only ones who thought so; we had to wait in a pretty long line to get ours!

After trying it out, we aren’t surprised that this snack is so popular. We think most people would like it, but if strawberry shortcake is one of your favorite desserts definitely get this sundae! We thought this was an excellent afternoon pick-me-up, especially if you’re hankering for something sweet! You can grab one for yourself for $7.29 at the Tropical Hideaway and enjoy your own little moment of deliciousness.
