Tower of Terror Just Got MUCH Easier to Ride in Disney World

Are you ready?

Crowds

If you’re heading to Disney World soon, beware! The crowds are already starting to pick back up. We saw the highest price for Genie+ we have in WEEKS and that price is based on demand. We’ve also noticed more crowds in the parks as people flock to Disney World for the holiday weekend. Spring break is right around the corner as well. But what were the wait times like in the calm before the storm?

Today, we’re taking you through the average wait times in Disney World from the past week so that you can determine a game plan when you visit the parks. This can help you decide if Genie+ is a must for your group, or if you want to save money and use other strategies like rope dropping!

If you do want to buy Genie+, be sure to budget for the skip-the-line service. The price has fluctuated between $15 and $29, however on busier weeks and weekends you should expect the higher price tag. Also, remember that the price is per person, so take that into consideration when budgeting and making decisions about your park day.

Tower of Terror was the reigning champion of the highest wait time in the park for a long time, but now that wait time has dropped significantly — this week it was an average of 60 minutes! Just last week, the average wait time was 99 minutes. Tower of Terror previously closed one side of the ride for refurbishment making the wait times skyrocket. After we spoke with a Cast Member last week, they said the full ride was open again. This is why NOW is the time to ride Tower of Terror!

Wait times are on the rise for popular attractions, however it will now be much easier to get on Tower of Terror! After that significant drop in average wait times, you could be waiting less if you choose to stand in the regular standby line. We do recommend getting there early or waiting until the end of the night — after all, it is still one of the most popular rides in the park!
