Yet another guest has been caught breaking the rules at Disneyland Resort. This guest was spotted blowing kisses from “Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession” at Disney California Adventure.
The video is being passed around Twitter and TikTok but seems to have originated from TikTok user jozjo16 (or smolbobasaurx3, but this account no longer exists). The original video is no longer available.
The video pans across the large Lunar New Year float that is led by Mulan and Mushu, past the drummers, to the back of the float, where Goofy stands on a platform in traditional Chinese garb. A guest has jumped onto the lowest step next to Goofy and he’s looking around in confusion. The guest, holding their purse and a Disney shopping bag, blows a kiss and then jumps down. Goofy shrugs to Chip and Dale behind him.
Jumping on a moving float is against park rules, not to mention highly dangerous, and could result in being trespassed from Disney property. No Cast Members other than Goofy, Chip, and Dale seemed to notice the guest at the time, so it’s unknown if they were apprehended after the video.
Last year, a child climbed on a Mickey’s Celebration Cavalcade float at Magic Kingdom, but thankfully wasn’t injured as the float immediately came to a stop and a dancer quickly removed them. In December, a guest at Tokyo Disneyland jumped into a parade route in an uncharacteristic incident for the usual rule-abiding guests of the international park.
If you are desperate to appear in a theme park parade, we recommend becoming a Cast Member or visiting Universal Orlando Resort, where you can legally and safely board a Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval float after signing up.
