When the 50th Anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort kicked off, Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom began to transform with pink hues, and beautiful gold swirled décor around the brighter blue turrets. I am admittedly a fan of the pink castle, but I also love the original blue and gray castle as well.
With just a month and a half of the 50th celebration remaining, I suspect that we’re going to start seeing scaffolding here and there as the décor starts being removed, and the castle itself starts getting repainted.
But then, it occurred to me that maybe the castle won’t be returning to its standard colors. Maybe we will see a brand new color scheme and décor for the 100th Anniversary of The Walt Disney Company? I’m just not sure what will happen, but I thought it might be fun to speculate. We’ve recently seen a pink birthday cake coffee mug available for sale in the shops throughout the resort, but surely we aren’t getting a birthday cake castle again, right? It definitely makes me wonder, though.
What do you think Cinderella Castle will look like on April 1, 2023?
