When it comes to branching out and trying new foods, Disney can typically be a great place to do so.
We’ve seen some strange snacks in the parks, and they’re usually pretty tasty! We asked our readers what obscure snack in Disney World is their favorite to get while they’re in the parks, and the answers were very interesting to say the least! While some of these snacks may already be well known (at least that they exist), they might be ones you typically skip!
Our readers didn’t disappoint us when we asked them to give us their favorite obscure Disney snacks! We got a ton of great answers, but some were more popular than others. So, here are five Disney World snacks that you might not have ever tried before! Maybe, you swore you’d never try them. Maybe this post will change your mind!
1. Cheeseburger Pods from Satu’li Canteen
If you’ve never tried the Cheeseburger Pods at Satu’li Canteen, you should definitely consider it next time you’re at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This quick-service restaurant in Pandora is often on our must-do list in this park, and the Cheeseburger Pods are such a fun option.
These steamed pods are stuffed with Ground Beef, Ketchup, Mustard, Pickle, and Cheddar Cheese — so you have all of the best flavors of a delicious cheeseburger! The dough itself is a steamed Bao Bun that’s super soft, yet still holds together well. And great news! We actually have a copycat recipe, so you can try them at home.
If you do get the chance to get these in the parks, the adult version comes with Crunchy Vegetable Slaw and Vegetable Chips, and the kid’s version is served with Vegetable Chips and a Cuties® Mandarin with Small DASANI® Bottled Water or Lowfat Milk.
You’ll find Cheeseburger Steamed Pods on the kids’ menu for $8.59 AND on the regular menu for $13.29.

2. Cheeseburger Spring Rolls in Adventureland
While these might not be super “obscure” anymore (they’ve started to get quite the following!), we do think you need to know about them if you don’t already. These Cheeseburger Spring Rolls aren’t served in a traditional restaurant — so you might miss them! If you head to Adventureland in Magic Kingdom, you’ll find a colorful Spring Roll Cart that serves some unique versions of these tasty treats — we’ve seen Pepperoni, Buffalo Chicken, and most recently Pastrami for Disney World’s 50th anniversary.
While we love seeing new flavors pop up, the Cheeseburger Spring Rolls are good, y’all. They have a nice and crispy on the outside with a touch of grease — just the way we like them.
The inside is filled with ground beef and melty cheese and they are served with a Mayo-based sauce with pieces of pickle that pairs perfectly with this cheeseburger goodness.
While this isn’t the cheapest snack you can find at Magic Kingdom (they have fallen victim to quite the price hike), you can get TWO spring rolls for $9.50. So, for under $10, this tasty snack can be yours!

3. Cream Cheese Pretzel from The Lunching Pad
In Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland, you’ll find a quick-service restaurant with some tasty rotating hot dog options and delicious pretzels. At The Lunching Pad, currently, you’ll find a Mickey Pretzel and a Cream Cheese Warm Stuffed Pretzel. While the latter may sound basic — don’t sleep on it! It might not look like much, but this pretzel is actually pretty addicting.
This non-salted pretzel is lightly dusted with breadcrumbs and filled with a ribbon of super-soft cream cheese throughout. The cream cheese is sweetened just enough, so it’s satisfying without being cloying. That paired with the soft dough is SO GOOD.
You can grab this tasty snack at The Lunching Pad for $7.49, so keep it in mind next time you’re in Magic Kingdom!

4. Grilled Corn in Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Over in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, there’s another cart that you might just walk by if you were unaware of its signature tasty snack. Although, if you’ve ever walked by while they were grilling — you probably pulled over to investigate that amazing smell! In Animal Kingdom’s Africa, the Harambe Fruit Market is a quick snack option you’ll notice right outside of Kilimanjaro Safaris.
This snack kiosk serves some basics like Mickey Pretzels, Fresh Fruit, and Hot Dogs, but one of our favorite items is the Grilled Corn on the Cob.
Guests can get this with or without African Spices, so it’s perfect for adventurous AND picky eaters. Who can resist freshly grilled corn on the cob? These are currently on the menu for $5.29, so it’s a great option if you’re looking for an affordable snack on the go. Make sure you check them out next time you’re in Animal Kingdom!
5. School Bread from Norway Pavilion in EPCOT
This last one is a bit controversial. While the School Bread from Norway’s Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe isn’t for everyone, it does have quite the following (and we sure love it at DFB!). This soft pastry is a sweet roll filled with custard and topped with coconut.
This pastry comes from a classic Norwegian snack that kids would take to school in their lunchboxes. Part of the appeal of it is that it isn’t too sweet, so it’s light enough for you to have on a hot theme-park day. We are big fans, so we highly recommend it! Also, you can get this treat for only $4.49, so this could be a perfect snack for you for under $5!
