As the 50th-anniversary celebration comes to a close across Walt Disney World, the removal of EARidescent décor will continue this weekend, including the phased removal of the 50th decor donning Cinderella Castle.
All 50th Anniversary decor is expected to be removed across the four parks of the Walt Disney World Resort as the 18-month celebration comes to a close. As part of the first phase this weekend, guests may see the 50th Anniversary medallion removed and the clock return to Cinderella Castle. There has not yet been an official confirmation from Disney on whether Cinderella Castle would return to its pre-celebration state or if a new theme might be introduced.
The Golden Fab 50 statues will remain beyond the end of the festivities and are not expected to be removed anytime soon. Spaceship Earth will also continue to shine with nighttime light displays continuing into the future at EPCOT.
