One of the things we love about the Disney parks is that there are constantly new things to experience. Between festivals, holidays, new attractions, and more, you could visit again and again and have a totally unique day every time. Trust us, we know from experience! And for one Disneyland fan, their love of the park was strong enough to earn them a world record!

As NPR reported, California resident Jeff Reitz currently holds the Guinness World Record for the most consecutive visits to Disneyland Park with 2,995 straight days of visits. That impressive streak breaks down to eight years, three months, and 13 days.

According to Reitz, the idea to visit the park every day came to him when visiting Disneyland on New Year’s Day 2012. That day, he and his friends noticed an advertisement for an “extra Disney Day,” an event celebrating the upcoming Leap Day of February 29th. Reitz says he and his friends joked, “How could it be an extra day if you didn’t use the others?” and so they set out to visit the park all 366 days of 2012.

After the group reached their goal of visiting Disneyland every day in 2012, Reitz decided to keep going. He said his visits were a constant source of joy for him, “It was my gym. It was my happy hour. It was entertainment all in one package.” After over eight years of daily visits, his last trip to Disneyland was on March 13th, 2020 — the last day before the park closed due to the pandemic. This ended his streak at a record-breaking 2,995 straight days of visits.

While Reitz hasn’t been back to Disneyland yet since the park has reopened, he said that he would like to return at some point. In the meantime, he says he has replaced his Disneyland visits with catching up on shows, going to concerts, hiking, and spending time with his girlfriend.
