Marvel spoilers have led to the full force of Disney’s legal reach searching for those responsible for the Ant-Man and the Wasp script that was leaked online a month before the film’s release. Earlier in the year, a Marvel Studios Spoilers subreddit forum was used to publish a 63-page document that revealed the plot for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, as well as sections of dialogue.
Disney is now looking for answers, having filed two subpoena applications in an effort to compel media giants Reddit and Google to assist in identifying those involved. The court documents were filed late last week, requesting any “identifying information” that might be available; however, it currently remains unclear what measures Disney will take if successful with the subpoenas.
Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania opened in cinemas on February 17th, 2023, currently earning $448.3 million at the box office.
