World Discovery at EPCOT only has three attractions, and people seem to have mixed emotions surrounding the rides here. You’ll find Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Mission: Space, and Test Track here. Some Disney fans love them, and some fans hate them, and we want to know what you think. First, I’ll share my thoughts; then, you can leave yours in the comments.
Keep It
This is a no-brainer for me, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. This is the best attraction to come to EPCOT and Walt Disney World. I would never want to see this ride leave, but I would like to see the playlist of the attraction get updated every few years. I know many guests get sick on this ride, so this isn’t a “keep it” attraction for everyone.
Update It
This isn’t much of an “update,” but I would like to see Test Track return to its original form with updated features. I would like to see how they can incorporate designing your car into that version of the ride. I’m sure they can do it. The attraction’s current state is fun and futuristic, but I think the previous ride had a better queue. I also loved the soundtrack that played in the line back in the day. Do any of you agree with me on this? Let me know.
Trash It
Well, that leaves Mission: Space for “trash it.” Trust me; I wish I could pick up that attraction and throw it away. This ride is just horrible. I have ridden it once and ran out of there beyond sick. Before continuing the day, I had to lie down and drink a Sprite for about ten minutes. After that, I didn’t want to ride anything else for the rest of the day.
I have seen many people leave the ride throwing up and suffering horribly. I really think Disney needs to bulldoze this and create a different type of attraction. With Guardians of the Galaxy across the way, we don’t need another space adventure ride that can trigger motion sickness.
If you could create a brand new ride to go here that embodies the area’s new name, “World Discovery,” what would you make?
