Everything You Need to Know About the 2023 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival

Do you like food? Well, if you’re here, the answer is probably YES.

Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival

Here at DFB, we’re experts on Disney food, and that includes the many food festivals that happen throughout the year at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World. We recently got the chance to check out the 2023 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, and now just a few days later, we’re kicking off the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. Follow along with us!

Atmosphere

Like any good festival, we’re going to start by picking up a festival passport! This guide has all the details you need to find some DELICIOUS eats and drinks around the park.

It’s time to EAT!

Inside, you’ll also find a map of all the food booth locations. This will definitely come in handy for our quest!

Now that we’ve got our passports, let’s go!

Food Booths

Peppers Cali-Ente

This year, we actually got to start out at the festival a day early! We checked out a few of the booths the day before the festival began on Friday, March 3rd. First, we headed to Peppers Cali-Ente!

Here you can order the Chile Relleno Empanada or the Camerones a la Diabla. And let us tell you — those camerones lived up to their name. They were HOT.

Hot hot hot!

If you have a hankering for something spicy, this is where you need to go!

Avocado Time

Up next is Avocado Time!

At this booth, we picked up not one, not two, but THREE new items! There’s the Impossible™ Nacho Mac & Cheese, the Impossible™ Al Pastor Taco, and the Blackberry-Lavender Lemonade. YUM!

Look at that spread!

Garlic Kissed

Calling all garlic lovers, it’s time to visit Garlic Kissed! Here, we’re trying two new items and two that are returning.

Garlic Kissed

Both the Grilled Top Sirloin with Roasted Garlic-Gruyère Smashed Potatoes and Black Garlic Chimichurri and the Carbonara-Garlic Mac & Cheese with Nueske’s® Peppered Bacon are back again, but we’ve got two new beverages! The Raspberry Limoncello Ade is a non-alcoholic option, while the Guave Lychee Mule is available for grown-ups.

What did we think of it all? Make sure to check out our review!

Cluck-a-Doodle-Moo

You know which booth at this festival wins BEST name? Cluck-a-Doodle-Moo for sure! It’s a returning booth with several new items.

For food, we got the Smoked Honey-Habanero Chicken Wings and the BBQ Beef Brisket Slider. To wash it all down, we ordered the Chipotle-Pineapple Bourbon Sour and the Smoked Cherry Mezcal-iki Cocktail.

The food here is like something you’d get back home, but with a twist!

Berry Patch

To round out your trip with dessert, you definitely need to stop by Berry Patch!

Here, we got the brand-new Kenny’s Family Cheesecake topped with mixed berry compote. We also ordered the returning Blueberry-Buttermilk Pie. To drink, they’ve got a new Blueberry Pancake Cold Brew — doesn’t that sound delicious?!

Time for dessert!

Honestly, our mouths are watering just LOOKING at the photos.

D-Lish

And the last booth that we got to try before the festival officially started was D-Lish!

Here, we ordered the Beef & Barley Poutine, which is made with Potato Bites with Braised Beef Short Rib, Cheese Curds, Stout Gravy and Lager Micro Sponge and brand-new to the festival this year. We also got the Apricot Tequila Cooler.

Looks D-Lish!

I mean, who doesn’t love potatoes covered in a variety of toppings? We’re excited to dig in!

Entertainment

Throughout the festival, you’ll also want to be on the lookout for special entertainment offerings. This year there will be live music at the Palisades Stage and the Paradise Gardens Bandstand.

Also, the Jammin’ Chefs will be back for 2023. On top of that, you can also check out special demonstrations, seminars, and events.

Merchandise

Finally, it wouldn’t be a festival without some merchandise! We’ll make sure to keep our eyes peeled for this year’s festival collection. You can typically find these items available at stores around the park, as well as merchandise kiosks.

That’s everything we’ve experienced at the festival so far, but we’ll continue to update you as we visit all the food booths, so stay tuned to this post for more!
