As Disney Parks around the world move to become more inclusive and welcoming environments to guests of all backgrounds and identities, they’ve done quite a bit from retiring “ladies and gentlemen” from park-wide announcements to removing racially insensitive references from attractions. Now Disneyland Paris is testing the waters for further inclusivity by piloting a new gender-neutral bathroom in Discoveryland at Disneyland Paris park.

Twitter user @Cave0fWonders shared photos of the new gender-neutral bathroom setup, which is located near Autopia in Discoveryland. It’s located adjacent to the women’s restroom.
Our friends at DLPReport provided some additional context in their Twitter post above. The women’s restroom had two separate rooms near Autopia, so it was a simple matter of changing signage to allow individuals regardless of gender identity to use the restroom space. The men’s restroom space was unaffected by this change.
There’s no word on how long the test will be in place for, but this is the first time gender-neutral bathrooms have been introduced at any Disney Park worldwide during normal operating hours. Last year during the Magical Pride event across the way at Walt Disney Studios Park, gender-neutral bathrooms were available to guests at the event but not during normal hours.
