Since Disney World introduced variable pricing for Genie+, it’s been difficult to predict just how much the service might cost from day to day.
The more people in the park, the higher Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lines are priced. With many states around the US gearing up for spring break, chances are we’re only going to see Genie+ prices rise and maybe even sell out altogether. Let’s check out the latest Genie+ updates from Disney World this week.
Spring has sprung and brought some pretty gorgeous weather to Disney World — meaning the summer sun hasn’t become too sweltering yet! But, the nice weather has brought something else to the parks — crowds. We’re not talking full-blown spring break levels just yet, but throughout this week we saw more and more signs that it’s only a matter of time.
On Monday, March 6th, Genie+ was priced at $20 per person per day. Booking an Individual Lightning Lane for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train was $11, Cosmic Rewind was $15, Rise of the Resistance was $20, and Flight of Passage was $14.
Prices went down a bit on Tuesday, March 7th, when Genie+ was $18 per ticket. Each Individual Lightning Lane price went down by $1. By around 11AM, the return time for Jungle Cruise was at 6:25PM, Expedition Everest was at 6PM, and the return times for both Rise of the Resistance and Seven Dwarfs were after 8PM.
By March 8th, Genie+ went back up to $20 per ticket, and the same was true for the Individual Lightning Lane rides as well. Park pass availability was wide open this day, so we didn’t see too many heavy crowds, but more than the day before.
When Thursday, March 9th rolled around, we saw prices go up yet again to $22 per ticket per day. As far as Individual Lightning Lane prices go, they all stayed the same aside from Rise which increased to $22 per person.
Since we’re gearing up for an exciting and BUSY summer around Disney World, we can only imagine that these prices might continue to go up.
Disney World recently saw Genie+ sell out for the first time, and then it happened again the following day. We’ve also seen record-high prices at $29 per day during busy times, and on March 12th, Genie+ hit that price point again.
