Last year, Super Nintendo World celebrated its first anniversary since opening on March 18, 2021 with a new Fire Flower sipper and plenty of other new merchandise in the land. Now for its second anniversary, Universal Studios Japan is stepping up its game with a new limited edition Gold Power-Up Band inspired by the Golden Mushroom from the land’s storyline!
Limited Edition Gold Power-Up Band – ¥4200 ($31.61)
The new Power-Up Band features the same basic design as the standard Mario Power-Up Band — a slap wristband wrapped in a gold-covered rubber, with a white plastic puck at the center and a pair of eyes near the top.
The band will still seemingly register as a Mario Power-Up Band in the Universal Studios Japan App. But the band is only going to be available in limited quantities starting March 18 while supplies last. It’s unknown how many will be made.
With this, the lineup of Power-Up Bands will expand to seven available types — Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Princess Daisy, Yoshi, Toad, and Gold Mario. This band will seemingly be exclusive to Universal Studios Japan and not available at Universal Studios Hollywood.
