The 95th Academy Awards are coming up in a little less than two weeks and Disney has shared some specialty-themed food options and Oscar-worthy photo ops that guests visiting Disneyland and Walt Disney World can take part in.
In case you’re not aware, Walt Disney himself was awarded a one-of-a-kind Snow White-inspired Oscar statue, and if you happen to be at Disney California Adventure park, you can see this special piece of Oscars history in Carthay Circle Restaurant from Feb. 27 until March 20.
Guests can pose for a unique photo op with the award, courtesy of The Walt Disney Family Museum in the place inspired by the original Carthay Circle Theater where Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs premiered.
The award was presented to Walt Disney by then-child star Shirley Temple at the 11th annual Academy Awards in 1939. A framed photo of the sweet moment is located on the restaurant’s second floor. Have you ever seen it?
Guests can choose from three limited-time funnel cakes at Award Wieners in Hollywood Land or a brownie milkshake from Schmoozies that is all dressed up for the occasion.
At Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, all guests visiting the Disneyland Resort are welcome to walk the red carpet and snap a pic next to a larger-than-life Oscars statue located near the lobby of the hotel. This impressive photo op will be available from February 28 to March 15.
If you are visiting Walt Disney World, head over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios where you’ll find some great Oscars-themed treats. ABC Commissary is decked out in this year’s Oscars art and you can enjoy a tropical tart topped with an Oscars chocolate coin. There is also a specialty popcorn blend at select popcorn carts throughout the park. Available now until March 12th.
A brand new Oscars-themed photo wall is coming to Disney Springs in early March. Guests can take a selfie in front of a giant Oscars poster and then tag their award-winning photos on social media with #DisneySprings and #Oscars.
The 95th Oscars will be live on ABC on Sunday, March 12. Tune in at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT to see who wins!
Fun fact: Between 1932 and 1969, Walt was honored with 32 Academy Awards and still holds the record for the most won by an individual!
