Earlier this week, we got a sneak peek at a neat remote control replica of the Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway ride vehicle, coming to the shops of Mickey’s Toontown when it reopens Sunday. Well today during the soft open, we spotted the new train on sale at EnginEAR Souvenirs!
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway Remote Control Ride Vehicle – $149.99
The box features a clear view inside of the train.
The sides show the barn of the Runnamuck Railroad from the attraction, into which Goofy crashes during the preshow.
The back side shows the trackless train in action as well as the remote control roadster we found last week.
Unlike the real ride, the toy contains only two sets of passenger cars. But they look just like the actual vehicles, complete with lap bars.
The lead car shows off the Runnamuck Railroad insignia on the sides and has the same distinct blue, yellow, and red paint job with burst smokestack. A figure of Goofy sits inside to guide guests on a relaxing ride around the park.
Figures of various characters are included in the set as well, including Minnie, Daisy, Chuuby, Mickey, another Minnie, and Donald.
The control is blue and also has logos for the Runnamuck Railroad. Two control sticks control the engine, one for lateral movement and one for sideways movement.
We found this in EnginEAR Souvenirs in Mickey’s Toontown, so if you’re looking to set up some projectors and replicate Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at home, you won’t want to miss a stop to pick this remote control ride vehicle up. And you can check out the real ride here on Disneyland News Today.
