One Character Just Made His FIRST EVER Disney Parks Appearance!

Okay, those of us who spend more time in Disney World than Disneyland often get jealous of Disneyland because of all the amazing characters that turn up there.

The whole gang!

First, ALL the Marvel character meet and greets in Avengers Campus are AMAZING. Even Oswald the Lucky Rabbit meets guests in Disneyland (NOT fair!). Now, another VERY rare character is appearing in Toontown, which will reopen on March 19th.

Many Disney fans probably know Pete as Goofy’s neighbor in A Goofy Movie. Before that, though, Pete goes ALL the way back to 1925 (three years BEFORE Mickey Mouse). He was usually depicted as a villain, most often being an antagonist to Mickey and his pals. He’s a rare character, though, but Pete has finally made his way to Disneyland as a character you can actually meet!

There he is!

We got a chance to say hello to Pete during a media preview of Toontown today and he was in fine form. He’s certainly a good fit for Toontown, which also features the original Disney gang of Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, and Clarabelle.

Hiya, Pete!

In case you were wondering what kind of creature is, he’s an anthropomorphic cat, which makes a lot of sense since he was often a villain in early Mickey MOUSE cartoons. We’re just happy to see another rare and classic character making it to Disneyland while the park is celebrating the Walt Disney Company’s 100th Anniversary.
