Disney Munchlings have quickly become a mega popular collection among Disney fans. The sweet, scented plushes feature our favorite characters as some of our favorite snacks and desserts!

We recently spotted a new Minnie Mouse Disney Munchlings Ear Headband would be coming to shopDisney on April 10.

The new ears feature Minnie Mouse’s polka dot bow and have a sweet little strawberry in the middle. It also features a dollop of icing on top and two sprinkle covered ears on either side.

Minnie Mouse Strawberry Cupcake Scented Plush

The headband very closely resembles the Minnie Mouse Munchlings plush released last year. The Minnie Mouse Strawberry Cupcake Scented Plush is part of the “baked treats” Munchlings collection.

As of right now, it is unclear if the new ears will be scented like their matching plush counterpart. We will also update this with a price once it becomes available.

It will be interesting to see if Disney ends up releasing a whole line of Munchlings ear headbands to match each respective Munchling plush.

The new ear headband is set to debut on shopDisney on April 10. We are hoping to see it on property as well!

New Disney Munchlings Available

Last week, a new Tripleberry Compote Cheesecake Daisy debuted at EngineEAR Souvenirs in Disneyland. The small scented plush featured a winking Daisy Duck topped with a red glaze, fresh strawberry patches, a dollop of whipped cream, and her signature bow topped with a purple flower at the center.

Orange Bird is heavily featured in this year’s International Flower and Garden Festival at EPCOT. He appears and stars on merchandise ranging from a cute Orange Bird sipper, to Tupperware containers, to Loungefly bags, and even cups!

The Orange Bird Munchling is available at the Creations Shop, and other merchandise locations around EPCOT for $19.99. There is a two item limit per guest, so please keep this in mind when shopping.

Smokestack Removed From Concept Art for Disney’s 7th Cruise Ship

A newly released image of Disney’s 7th cruise ship shows a design change in the luxury liner’s appearance. Previously showing three smokestacks in the concept art, the newest release shows only two.

Smokestack Removed from Cruise Ship Concept Art

Disney's 7th cruise ship shows only two smokestacks in the newest photo.

The concept art shown above was released today for Disney’s Singapore-bound cruise ship. It shows only two smokestacks, where previously there were three. Several other minor design changes can be seen along the top of the ship.

Disney Cruise Line’s Newest Acquisition

Disney Cruise Line confirmed the “acquisition of a partially completed ship that will bring the magic of a Disney Cruise Line vacation to new global destinations” today. It will “feature innovative Disney experiences along with the dazzling entertainment, world-class dining, and legendary guest service that set Disney Cruise Line apart.”

This ship marks the first time a Disney cruise vacation will be available to Southeast Asia. This was revealed earlier today by Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D’Amaro and Singapore’s Minister for Transport and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations, S. Iswaran.

Disney Cruise Line estimates the capacity of the 208,000-gross-ton ship to be approximately 6,000 passengers and roughly 2,300 crew members. Disney plans to make it among the first in the cruise industry to be fueled by green methanol, one of the lowest emission fuels available. This is in alignment with their mission for the cruise line to be as environmentally friendly as possible.

The ship, originally named the Global Dream and owned by Genting Hong Kong, was originally estimated to cost around $1.8 billion to construct. Due to the owner going into administration during to the Covid-19 pandemic, the massive luxury liner was left unfinished.

Disney has finalized and announced their purchase of the partially finished ship and expects to spend another $1 billion in converting and finishing the boat. They spent $41 million to purchase the work in progress, which is only just over two percent of the original ship’s estimated cost. This gives the company significant financial leeway to implement construction and design changes as they see fit.

Construction is planned for completion at the MV Werften shipyard in Wismar, Germany. Meyer Werft, the Papenburg-based company, will be managing the project. This company was also responsible for constructing the Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy and Disney Wish, and is planning to complete the construction of two additional Wish-class ships.

Make sure to check out our latest coverage on Disney Cruise Line below!

What’s New in Magic Kingdom: ‘Moana’ Ears and ‘Toy Story’ Merchandise

We’re about to enter a very busy month in Disney World!

Magic Kingdom

Coming up in April we’ve got the opening of TRON Lightcycle / Run, the return of two old fireworks shows, and celebrations for Easter. Many of these big things are happening in Magic Kingdom, so the park has been pretty busy with preparations lately. What else is new in Magic Kingdom? Let’s dive in and find out!

Construction Updates

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Let’s start things out with some construction updates from Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! The ride structure is mostly covered in scaffolding at this point, especially along the ride track.

So. Much. Scaffolding!

We’ve seen construction workers out here frequently touching up the aesthetics of the ride. We can’t wait to see what it looks like when it’s complete!

Merchandise Updates

The Emporium

This Is NOT Something We Expected to See in Disney’s Animal Kingdom

There is so much to see in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, but did you know there’s even more that you CAN’T see?

Welcome to Animal Kingdom!

Animal Kingdom is the largest Disney World park, even though many people feel it’s a half-day park with its lack of attractions. But most of the park’s square mileage is all the land for the animals to roam. While you can see lots of it taking the train to and from Rafiki’s Planet Watch and on Kilimanjaro Safaris, there’s so much left unseen at Animal Kingdom, and we just found out a secret we never knew!

We just learned about a very special collaboration between two parts of Disney World. It involves two things you’d never expect to go together — baseball and flamingos.

Flamingos at Animal Kingdom

The ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex is located in Disney Springs and it turns out, baseball clay, which is specially designed to drain water quickly, is helping flamingos in Animal Kingdom build their nests.

ESPN Wide World of Sports

The baseball clay has been so helpful, in fact, that it’s allowed for lesser flamingos in the park to have an unprecedented breeding season with their taller and better nests. And THAT resulted in the second lesser flamingo chick being born in the park in the past 20 years!

Look at all the flamingos!

The Tampa Bay Rays even played part of their training season at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex this year, meaning that a lesser flamingo technically stood on the same clay as an MLB pitcher — how cool is that?

Pandora

We have cast members Jamie Sincage (Animal Manager at Disney’s Animal Kingdom) and Tommy Evans (Field Manager at ESPN Wide World of Sports) to thank for this collaboration. We can’t wait to hear how this finding continues to help the flamingos and stay tuned to DFB for all the latest Disney news!

See the new snack we WANTED to dislike, but just couldn’t, right in Animal Kingdom!
