Exclusive to Eggstravaganza at EPCOT this year are new “Lion King” and “Zootopia” themed egg collections.

We stopped at EPCOT the other day and noticed that these new themed egg collections were now available. For $14.99 (plus tax), guests can choose “The Lion King” eggs, “Zootopia” eggs, or even both.

“The Lion King” Egg Collection- $14.99

The Lion King egg collection is available for $14.99 (plus tax) and features young Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa.

The attention-to-detail on the eggs is noticeable. On the back of each egg, it shows each of the characters’ backs and tails instead of being blank.

Simba Egg

Young Simba’s egg matches the color of his fur. It not only features his face, but also a little furry patch of hair on his chest.

Timon Egg

Everyone’s favorite meerkat, Timon, is featured on the center egg — which is also the same color is his fur. Does anyone else wish they put Timon dressed in the Hula outfit on this egg?

Pumbaa Egg

Last but certainly not least, we have the third egg in the famous trio, Pumbaa. As always, he is smiling and ready to take on any adventure with his buddies.

Can’t decide which one you like the best? Hakuna Matata, you get to keep all three.

“Zootopia” Egg Collection- $14.99

The Zootopia Egg Collection is also available for $14.99 and features popular characters Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and Flash.

The back of each of the eggs feature a leopard print design. They are not unique from one another, unlike the Lion King collection, which features the backs of each of the characters.

Judy Hopps, who is the protagonist of “Zootopia” is featured on the light blue egg, presumably to match her police uniform.

Nick Wilde Egg

Nick Wilde, the deuteragonist of “Zootopia” is featured on the brownish-green egg, which also matches his shirt.

Flash Egg

Flash, one of the funny, supporting characters in “Zootopia” is featured on the green egg, which again, also matches his outfit.

If you would rather not participate in the Eggstravaganza egg scavenger hunt, but want an egg to collect, you can absolutely do that too. Only the “Lion King” and “Zootopia” egg collections are available for purchase. These are perfect for collecting, using in an Easter Basket, or even using for an Easter egg hunt at your home. Grab yours today at World Traveler at World Showcase in EPCOT.

As always, if you do participate in Eggstravaganza, you get a free consolation prize. Guests will receive one prize per map. Maps are available at most merchandise locations at EPCOT for $9.99 (plus tax), but can only be redeemed at Disney Traders or World Traveler at International Showcase.

This year, guests had the choice of prizes that featured some of our favorite characters on small, collectible eggs. Guests can choose Marie from “The Aristocats”, Patch from “101 Dalmations”, Robin Hood from Disney’s “Robin Hood”, Dopey from “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”, Genie from “Aladdin”, or the Cheshire Cat from “Alice in Wonderland”.

A new limited edition pin inspired by the “scrap metal” themes available at Savi’s Workshop in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has arrived at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We found the pin off-world in The Darkroom.

Limited Edition Savi’s Workshop Pin – $19.99

The pin is a golden circle and reads “Savi & Son Salvage” in Aurebesh on the front. A lightsaber-inspired logo is across the center.

The pin opens and closes, like many of the other Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge pins. The logo for Black Spire Outpost, with “BSO” in Aurebesh, is etched inside on the left. On the right are symbols and colors representing the four “scrap metal” lightsaber themes available at Savi’s Workshop.

Red in the top left represents Power and Control. Brown in the top right represents Elemental Nature. Tan in the bottom left represents Protection and Defense. Blue represents Peace and Justice. The symbols are the same as those featured on the pins guests get when they build a lightsaber.

Recently, all of the “scrap metal” lightsaber themes were updated at Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

Savi’s Handbuilt Lightsabers is the custom Lightsaber building experience in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Guests must pre-pay $249.99 plus tax for the experience, which includes a lightsaber (a hilt, two sleeves, one emitter, one pommel cap, one set of activation plates and switches, and a 31″ blade), a cloisonné pin, and a lightsaber carrying case.

The in-universe story is that the Gatherers, who possess forbidden knowledge of the Jedi Order, are operating out of Savi & Son Salvage. On the surface, Savi sells scrap metals from old ships and devices. The Gatherers use his salvage shop as a cover to help Force-sensitive beings craft their own lightsabers.

When you arrive at Savi’s, the Gatherers will show you the various collections of “scrap metal” they have to offer. Each theme has multiple options for most of the lightsaber parts, so once you are inside the workshop, the Gatherers will help you select the specific designs you want for your hilt.

We showcased the entire Savi’s handbuilt lightsaber experience back in 2019 when Black Spire Outpost first opened. Though the “scrap metal” parts have changed, the experience remains the same. You can watch our video about the experience below.

Special Earth Day treats are now available at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Creature Comforts (Starbucks) is serving up the Bee Hive Mousse Dome now through April 30.

This looks like a cupcake, but it is in fact mousse on a brownie. It comes in a plastic cupcake holder to keep it safe while you find a comfortable spot to enjoy your treat.

The mousse is fantastic! It has almost a whipped cream consistency with just a hint of honey-flavored sweetness.

The mousse is lined with bee-themed decorations that just add some texture and not much taste.

The brownie is heavy and dense with almost no flavor.

The brownie is unnecessary and we would order just the mousse in a cup if it was offered.

Though not announced as part of the Earth Day 2023 offerings, a new Dino Dig Ice Cream Sandwich is now available at Dino-Bite Snacks.

The new Earth Day treats also celebrate the 25th anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, which opened on Earth Day 1998.

Just down the way from The Boneyard, we find this ice cream sandwich inspired by the beloved play area which opened with Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 1998.

Dino Dig Ice Cream Sandwich – $7.29

Vanilla ice cream sandwiched between two house-made sugar cookies with chocolate sprinkles, cookie crumbs, sugar bones, and a white chocolate dinosaur

Like paleontology, this cookie is messy! Cookie enthusiasts should bring the right tools for this snack because eating it with your hands is a recipe for disaster.

The delicious, soft sugar cookies with chocolate cookie crumbs are protecting vanilla ice cream that actually managed to maintain some degree of firmness in this heat.

However, if you were to eat this in the same way you would eat a sandwich, it would instantly squirt out of the sides, ruining your dig site.

And who says I’ve cream doesn’t have any bones? They don’t have much flavor, but we appreciate their visual contribution to this themed treat.

The white chocolate dinosaur is a great touch, but it’s not going to thrill your taste buds either. The rest of it, though? We don’t have any bones to pick, it’s delicious!
