Two new Universal-exclusive interactive plush toys inspired by the Dilophosaurus and the Pyroraptor are available at Universal’s Islands of Adventure.
We found both of them in Islands of Adventure Trading Company.
Interactive Sound Dilophosaurus Plush Toy – $55
The plush resembles a scaly green Dilophosaurus with an orange collar. These dinosaurs are perhaps most known for taking down Dennis Nedry in the first “Jurassic Park” film.
It has brown-orange ridges on its head with life-like detail. A soft, plush body and its white-felt teeth are more cuddly than threatening, though.
As an exclusive product of Universal Studios, this plush is the perfect keepsake for dino fans visiting the parks. Three Dilophosaurs can be spotted among Jurassic Park: The Ride at Universal Studios Orlando.
The Dilophosaurus roamed Earth nearly 193 million years ago, standing 23 feet tall and weighing in at about 880 lbs. The large carnivorous creature appeared throughout the entire “Jurassic Park” franchise, in which it was fictitiously dubbed venomous.
The collar flaps can move back and forth and the dinosaur’s mouth can also open for a bit of interactivity.
The Dilophosaurus has yellow beady eyes along the sides of its head. The plush body is made to resemble the scaly texture of the real creature.
It has a small, round Jurassic Park logo embroidered on its hip.
There’s a velcro wrist strap on its belly, so you could carry the Dilophosaurus on your wrist.
It includes three AAA batteries, but they aren’t installed yet.
You can touch the top of its head to activate effects.
We also found the Dilophosaurus in Dinostore and Jurassic Outfitters.
Jurassic Outfitters had a Dilophosaurus out of containment to demonstrate its abilities.
Interactive Sound Pyroraptor Plush Toy – $55
The Pyroraptor plush is red, orange, and gray, with a long tail and feathery arms, matching the creature as seen in “Jurassic Park: World Dominion.”
A long fluffy tail protrudes from the Pyroraptor and matching gray fanning extends down from its arms. Its core is red and orange, with plushy soft gray legs and head.
Triangular teeth and yellow eyes add some ferocity to the otherwise cuddly recreation of this raptor.
It also has a wrist strap for showing off this Universal Studios exclusive plush on-the-go.
The Pyroraptor plush features interactive sounds that help to bring the creature to life.

Located on the west side of Disney Springs, Everglazed is home to gourmet donuts and specialty coffee that will likely have your sweet tooth successfully kicked. A new donut landed on Everglazed’s limited-time menu and we couldn’t resist trying it.
The Coconut Delight Donut at Everglazed is $5.95 and is a caramel iced donut topped with toasted coconut and chocolate and caramel icing. If you’re a fan of the Samoas Girl Scout cookies, this flavor combination probably sounds fantastic to you!
Coconut Delight Donut
This donut looks amazing, but how will it taste? Let’s dive in and see!
How will it taste?
Our first impression was that the donut was thick but still light and airy — like any good donut should be. The two most prominent flavors are caramel and coconut, with the caramel overpowering the flavor of the coconut flakes on top.
We grabbed the new Coconut Delight donut from Everglazed in Disney Springs! It’s a glazed donut iced with caramel, dipped in coconut and drizzled with chocolate. Breakfast goals achieved! pic.twitter.com/IWJEUPHAtf
While this donut is advertised as Coconut Delight, caramel is the star of the show. However, the coconut on top does work well with the caramel. We also noticed that the chocolate flavor from the drizzle was hardly noticeable.
Yum!
The only slightly disappointing thing about this snack was that we were expecting more of the coconut flavor to pop. However, if you love caramel, this might be the snack for you! We would recommend this snack to you if you like both caramel and coconut, but if you don’t like either of those (especially caramel) or if you don’t like the texture of coconut flakes, you might want to skip this one.

The summer is about to begin and that means it’s time for vacation planning! While we have already discussed when is the perfect time to book your Disney cruise, we think now is a great time to discuss how to book it. While it might seem simple, you might not realize there is more than one way to book. There are three different ways to book your next cruise and they all have different benefits.
How To Book Your Disney Cruise
1. Disney Cruise Line Website
There are three main ways you can book your dream Disney Cruise. The first is on the Disney Cruise Line website. This is where you can easily see different options for your sailing dates, your cabin type, and your destination before booking. It serves as the main “do it yourself” option.
Unless you want to, there is no need to interact with a Cast Member or anyone else. While many people want the help of Cast Members, some prefer to do their own research and handle the planning solo.
The second option to book your Disney cruise is to call (800) 951-3532. This is the phone number to contact Disney Cruise Line directly. This is a great option for guests who want to book their trip themselves but might want a little Cast Member help along the way.
This option is only available during the week from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM EST and on the weekends from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST. So if you want to book this way, make sure it’s during those hours. Guests under the age of must have a parent or guardian’s permission to call.
3. Use A Travel Agent
Finally, the last way — and probably the best way — to book your next Disney Cruise is through a travel agent! Travel Agents like our friends at Small World Vacations can be an amazing tool when planning. When you book your vacation with Small World Vacations, their experienced agents help watch for any areas where you can save.
They also compare discounts and figure out which one works best for your travel party, dates, and plans. They even offer you some awesome tips and tricks that will help during your cruise. This option operates as the most hands-off option and can be a great way to start your vacation planning.
Disney Magic
All three of these options offer different benefits for booking your Disney cruise. You can be as hands-on or hands-off as you want! Luckily, Disney has you covered no matter what. We also have you covered here at DFB with all of our favorite Disney Cruise Line tips and tricks for you to check out.
