Ever since the pandemic, we’ve seen a TON of changes with Disney World restaurants.
Akershus
We’ve seen the dining locations at hotels and parks slowly reopen over the past few years, and things like buffets and character meals have returned over time. Now, breakfast is coming back to a popular EPCOT restaurant, and we’ve got the menu!
The meal is known as “Princess Storybook Dining” and while the website doesn’t specify if this meal is buffet or family-style, we know that the restaurant was family-style when it reopened in 2022, so it seems that it will remain that way for breakfast. This means that you’ll pay all one price and get food for the table.
The menu includes breakfast pastries, fruit, potato casserole, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and Norwegian waffles. Your meal comes with basic beverages, including fountain drinks, coffee, or hot tea.
There are also allergy-friendly versions of the different menu items mentioned above. Just make sure to specify your allergies when you check in at the restaurant, and alert your server when ordering your food.
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
This meal will cost $53 per adult and $34 per child ages 3-9. The price does not include tax or gratuity.
We’ll make sure to keep you updated with any more details about this meal, so stay tuned to DFB! At this time, dining reservations don’t seem to yet be available for breakfast on the website, but we’ll keep checking for availability.

World Discovery, sometimes called the land of Guardians of the Galaxy, seems to lack experiences while having some of the best attractions ever. Unfortunately, I only ever come here if I score a virtual queue for Cosmic Rewind or grab food from a festival booth. But because of that, I recently decided to spend a day in this section of the park. After spending time here, I have developed a Dos and Dont’s list that I want to share with you.
Here are the Dos!
There’s a handful of things to do here in World Discovery. I will mention a few things that are technically part of World Celebration, but the majority of that area isn’t open yet, so it fits in this futuristic section for right now.
Design a car and ride Test Track
Explore the Car Showroom area at the end of Test Track
Grab a virtual queue to ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
Check out which festival booths are available in the area because these tend to have some of the best food.
Be sure to go shopping or window shopping in the Creations Shop. Look up and around to see all the artwork that is in the store.
Walk into Connections Cafe & Eatery and watch the bakery team create the delicious Leige Waffles they serve.
Try different sodas from around the world at Club Cool and get your favorite family member to try the drink, Beverly.
Here are the Don’ts
This list is so easy because there is only one thing you should definitely skip when visiting World Discovery. I’m sure you have already put the pieces together and figured out what it is.
If you love this ride, I am so sorry that it’s on this list. Unfortunately, this attraction makes many guests sick and sometimes to the point that it ruins their entire day. The good news is since most visitors skip it, there’s a low wait time on most days for those that love the attraction.
Well, folks, that is my Dos and Don’ts list regarding World Discovery at EPCOT. Please leave your list in the comments so we can compare and analyze them together.
