BEWARE of These 10 Rides in Disney World Right Now

Put your game face on — it’s spring break season in Disney World!

Be ready for crowds!

If you’re heading to Disney World soon, beware! The spring break crowds have arrived and they are not easy to handle. We’ve seen Genie+ hit its highest price recently and the price for the skip-the-line service is based on demand. So what are the wait times like in Disney World right now?

Today, we’re taking you through the average wait times in Disney World from the past week so that you can determine a game plan when you visit the parks. This can help you decide if Genie+ is a must for your group, or if you want to save money and use other strategies like rope dropping!

Tower of Terror

If you do want to buy Genie+, be sure to budget for the skip-the-line service. The price has fluctuated between $15 and $29, however on busier weeks and weekends you should expect the higher price tag. Also, remember that the price is per person, so take that into consideration when budgeting and making decisions about your park day.

The Cool Feature You Never Knew About at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Genie+ could come in handy especially during spring break season in Disney World. The crowds are no joke! However, this is another expense that can add up really fast depending on how many people are in your group. We also recommend rope dropping (arriving at the park before it opens to get ahead of the crowds) or staying until the park closes to get the shortest waits without Genie+. Reminder — Genie+ has sold out recently and it could sell out on your trip, too!

Watch Out McDonald’s — Wendy’s Just Started a Fast Food Snack BATTLE

If you’re a big fast food eater, this is news you’ll want to hear.

©Wendy’s

There are lots of great fast-food spots inside the Disney World parks, but there’s plenty more in our everyday lives. And we keep an eye on that news too, because hey, we eat fast food! If you’re like us, you NEED to know about this Wendy’s and McDonald’s fast food battle.

According to CNN Business, Wendy’s will soon begin selling a snack wrap — that’s right, the same type of snack wraps McDonald’s used to sell!

©Wendy’s

This new offering is a “heartier version of the spicy chicken “Go Wrap” that Wendy’s discontinued in 2020.” Wendy’s is also describing it as more of a meal than a snack.

©Wendy’s

McDonald’s discontinued their Snack Wrap in 2016 and it was completely phased out by 2020. McDonald’s has stated there are no plans to bring it back despite consumers asking for it daily. So now that Wendy’s is bringing back its own version, if it lives up to being as good as McDonald’s old version, it could give Wendy’s an advantage.

Chicken McNuggets

In other fast food news, we’ve got a tip for getting McDonald’s for cheaper, Jack in the Box is coming to Orlando, and McDonald’s has recently teamed up with another iconic fast food spot. As always, stay tuned to DFB for all the latest Disney news!

The New Stepping Stone for Disney Towards Villains Theming

Recently we were discussing the likelihood of a Villains-themed area that might eventually come to Disney theme parks. Thanks to Chris Beatty, a renewal of the topic is now swirling around the Disney forums with speculation and armchair Imagineering aplenty. However, it wasn’t until this morning, when I considered which characters I would like to see more of in the parks, that I realized I might just have the answer Disney is looking for.

A Villain theme would be a massive jump for Disney, air space to “evil” within storytelling rhetoric where good (almost) always triumphs. That’s a significant departure for the company allowing villains to exist in and of themselves as more than just a catalyst for the hero to prevail. To me, it sounds epic; however, I can see why the notion would be scary for The Walt Disney Company. What if they are too risky? What if they are watered down and not frightening enough? Some fans are pushing for an entire 5th gate dedicated to these dark minds, and others, though admittedly not many, don’t want to see them at all. Well, Disney, I think I might have the answer.

Let’s ease into the villain concept with a new restaurant. A dining experience like no other before it. Where villains swirl around, meeting and greeting with attitude and mystery. We would need a decent space, so naturally, I have chosen my least favorite dining location, Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, to play out my imaginary plan. Let’s do away with the awkward drive-in style cars and bring in boulders, caves, and hidden booths that limit your view of the space around you, allowing these evil characters to skulk and creep around the scene. Food and drink will be themed accordingly; think of it as a perpetual Halloween celebration sans pumpkins.

And here is the best part, as the evening wears on, the environment and the characters get darker in appearance and attitude. Bring the little ones for lunch to enjoy a light-hearted joke around with their favorite bad guys, maybe even with a few heroes in the mix to scare them off when needed, but as the sun goes down, there is no one there to save you from Cruella or Captain Hook; whoever might turn the corner next. Perhaps even taking a thunderstorm or two, Rainforest Cafe-style, as the night wears on as well. Oh, side note, what if you could choose your intensity on the way in, allowing your individual cave (booth) to have accurate music and lighting for your choice? A marker on the table could indicate to characters how intensely they approach your family. With a few settings changes on a control panel, your whole environment could be toned down or turned up according to your booking preference.

What do you think? Could this be Disney’s first step toward a Villains-themed area? Would you book a lunch or dinner at my evil establishment, at your preferred intensity of evil?

Hold Up. Disney World Just Dropped a NEW Girl Scout Cookie-Inspired Donut 😱

Disney Springs is almost like a fifth park in Disney World, and the best part is that it’s 100% free to visit.

Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew

But that doesn’t mean you WON’T spend money there. Where else will you find the biggest Disney store on the planet or indulge in some of the best wining and dining in the world? It’s Everglazed’s traditional glazed donut iced with caramel and then dipped in coconut shavings and drizzled with chocolate syrup.
