Toontown‘s big reopening in Disneyland is TOMORROW!
We’ve been keeping up with all the new eats coming to the land, the Cast Members’ new costumes, and all the Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway secrets. Now it’s time to see the full land once again during a media preview, and we’re bringing you along with us!
The first thing we noticed is that the NEW Toontown is on the Disneyland map on the app!
We walked into Toontown and spent some time admiring the adorable fountain with Mickey and Minnie on top.
We were greeted with a grand reopening ceremony, attended by some very familiar faces. We saw Daisy and Donald…
…Pluto…
…Clarabelle…
…Pete…
…and the whole gang, including Mickey in his new Toontown outfit!
Now we’ve already checked out the brand new store in the land, EngineEAR Souvenirs. Just look at all those Cast Members in their fun new outfits!
We had a chance to wander around Toontown to and see a NEW addition to the land: The Dreaming Tree. This tree is inspired by the tree Walt Disney used to sit under as a boy and dream up all his wonderful dreams!
Toontown has always been so much fun — the theming here is on point.
We also visited some houses of some rather FAMOUS celebrities — you know — like DONALD.
We caught Minnie setting up for tea time!
Of course, our middle name is LITERALLY food, so you know what we did — we went to check out the two new dining options in Toontown! We first made a stop by Cafe Daisy.
We ordered, well, EVERYTHING. Here’s what’s on the menu. Be on the lookout for a full review soon!
In the meantime, though, CHECK OUT THE MICKEY EARS ON OUR PIZZA!
We also went to Good Boy Grocers! which is a farmers market roadside stand with grab-and-go items.
If you’re craving a Slushee, you can get one here!
However, you can also get the Perfect Picnic Basket here. Basically, you choose three snacks from designated bins plus a small drink (juice box or small bottled water).
You can also get a Picnic Blanket for an additional cost.
We laid out our blanket and had a picnic. Then Daisy joined us for a bit! We learned that all the characters in Toontown will be free roaming, so you never know who’s going to turn up around the next corner (or at your picnic).
Overall, we think this refurbishment looks great, and we’re so happy this area of the park is back open! This opening was delayed earlier in the year, and now we see why — they had to make sure everything was perfect for the reopening. As always, be sure to stay tuned to DFB for all the latest Disneyland news!
