The 2023 Easter egg display is up in the lobby of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, near The Grand Cottage. These chocolate “eggs” have all been decorated by Cast Members at the resort and draw inspiration from different Disney films, parks, and more.
We actually saw one Cast Member still painting this egg, which is covered in classic Disney characters like Tiana, Pinocchio, Tigger, and Daisy Duck.
About half of the egg had already been painted with color, while the other half was just a sketch.
Now onto the completed pieces. First up is Kevin from “Up,” with her three baby chicks at her feet.
They even have the chocolate bar that Kevin stole from Russell.
Some of the eggs have notes from their designers, like this one from Cast Member Fabiola who created the Kevin display. In 2019, Fabiola created a different “Up” display featuring the house and egg-shaped balloon cluster.
Bunny figures are included among the eggs.
This one is inspired by “Raya and the Last Dragon.”
Next to Raya is a “Ratatouille”-themed egg-shaped basket atop “Anyone Can Cook.”
A Marvel-inspired egg features the Avengers and other characters in New York City.
Snow White’s cottage is made up of two eggs, and the princess overlooks the dwarfs heading into their mine.
Isabela and Mirabel from “Encanto” are featured on this egg, with their casita behind them and a ring of butterflies around the egg.
The Madrigal candle sits on a base inspired by the shifting floors of the casita.
Each egg on this display is inspired by a different Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride character, gathered around a tree.
It was created by Cast Member Stephanie.
Next to the Mr. Toad eggs is a “Fantasia”-inspired egg.
It features some of the unicorns from the film’s “The Pastoral Symphony” sequence.
This egg resembles one of Winnie the Pooh’s “hunny” pots, complete with bees and Rabbit’s “kerits” garden on the base.
This egg looks just like Piper, the lead in Pixar’s “Piper” short film. A smaller egg resembles the hermit crab she befriends.
These eggs are each inspired by a different Disney Princess. The purple egg featuring a golden sun has Rapunzel’s golden hair wrapped around it. Pascal holds up her tiara in the corner. A gold-yellow egg is covered in red roses, inspired by “Beauty and the Beast.” A simple blue egg has the silver outline of Cinderella’s coach. And a pink egg is decorated with white wavy lines and topped with Aurora’s sparkling crown.
Figment is atop this Spaceship Earth-inspired egg that even has its own tiny lights between the panels of the “golf ball” icon. It sits on a base featuring postcard images of each World Showcase pavilion.
This display resembles a crate full of oranges and the “egg” part looks like Orange Bird himself.
A sign for Sunshine Tree Terrace is on the crate.
A “Luca” egg features the main character and his friend Alberto half in the water, showing both their human and sea monster sides. The town of Portorosso is behind them.
A trio of small eggs are inspired by Pongo from “One Hundred and One Dalmatians,” Mickey Mouse, and the opening scene of “The Lion King.”
A figure of Walt Disney stands next to this egg, which shows a Cinderella Castle blueprint being transformed into the modern completed castle.
A gold trail of Pixie Dust leads from a Walt 100th anniversary nametag to Tinker Bell.
Tow Mater is featured on this “Cars”-inspired egg.
A circle of tires (and a hidden Mickey) is on the base.
The back is covered in Radiator Springs signage.
This new egg design is inspired by the Disney Munchlings, featuring a pineapple upside-down cake Stitch coming out of the oven. A Mickey-shaped cinnamon roll is in a basket nearby.
The display also includes baking ingredients and a cookbook.
Maria designed this “The Princess and the Frog” egg which lights up from the inside, silhouetting Tiana about give Naveen a kiss.
They are inside an egg inspired by a tree, with leaves and lily pads around them.
The base of the egg resembles the bayou.
Tiana in her dream sequence imagining her future restaurant is on the back.
The Country Bears are represented with this egg at the display. A G# jug sits on a tree trunk next to the main egg.
The main egg features Sun Bonnets Bunny, Bubbles, and Beulah on stage. Melvin, Buff, and Max are mounted above them.
The lights at the edge of the stage are even illuminated.
Portraits of the other Country Bears characters are on the back.
A portrait of Bambi and friends is on the center of this egg.
Bambi, Thumper, and Flower look at a butterfly that has landed on Bambi’s tail.
The rest of the egg is yellow with white and blue lines. A trio of dandelions is on the back.
The “Alice in Wonderland” egg has a steampunk clock design. The White Rabbit sits on top, and Alice sits on a mushroom on the checkerboard base.
The Cheshire Cat is on the back.
This egg shows a scene from “The Sword in the Stone,” plus has a sword sticking out of the top.
The base resembles the stone.
Merlin and Wart a.k.a. Arthur are on the front.
The back shows Merlin and Madam Mim.
A display of three chocolate eggs is inspired by the “Main Street Electrical Parade,” complete with color-changing lights.
The eggs resemble Elliott the dragon, the turtle, and the drum floats.
This egg isn’t inspired by one Disney property, but features dozens of “hidden” Mickeys.
It’s pastel green, with lines of Mickeys and flowers wrapping around it.
Totoro is represented among the eggs, holding an umbrella above him.
Chu and Chibi Totoro, plus a soot sprite, are on the base.
This egg features Winnie the Pooh floating with a red balloon through the branches of a tree. He peers at a bee flying in front of him.
A storybook featuring a map of the Hundred Acre Wood is behind the egg.
The bag of the display has a full cover for the book.
Step into Narnia with this egg that appears to be the open doors of a wardrobe.
Narnia’s famous lamppost is in the woods inside.
The carvings of the wardrobe are on the back.
Donald is visiting Daisy’s house on this display, complete with a carrot garden overridden with tiny rabbits.
Daisy’s house is pink with purple roof shingles and pastel flower beds. She waves at Donald from an upper window.
A large rabbit figure overlooks the Easter egg display.
