Instead of a handful of large pools like other Disney Cruise Line ships, the Disney Wish has several relatively small pools scattered across the upper decks, plus the Toy Story Splash Zone and Slide-a-saurus Rex.
Disney Wish Pools
The largest family pools are Mickey’s Pool and Minnie’s Pool. These are on deck 11 and both can be covered during shows like “Set Sail on a Wish.” Mickey’s Pool is actually built into the deck stage, while Minnie’s pool is across the deck and is covered to create more standing room.
The smaller pools on elevated platforms of deck 11 are Daisy’s Pool and Pluto’s Pool, while Donald’s Pool and Goofy’s Pool are just above them on deck 12.
Chip ‘n Dale’s Pool is on deck 14, between the Aurora and Briar Rose royal suites.
On deck 13 is the adults-only Quiet Cove pool, which is also more like three small pools grouped together.
These pools are right against the bow of the ship, offering a beautiful view of the ocean or islands that the ship is docked at.
There are also adults-only whirlpools and the concierge pool on deck 13 (not pictured).
Toy Story Splash Zone
The Toy Story Splash Zone and Slide-a-saurus Rex are on deck 12 of the Disney Wish, behind FunnelVision.
There is no lifeguard on duty at the splash zone, which is only for use of children up to 6 years old. Children must have adult supervision at all times when in the play area.
The splash zone has some small slides and fun water features.
It’s also chock full of “Toy Story” Easter eggs, like the Woody bubble blower from “Toy Story 2.”
There are giant figures of the main “Toy Story” characters, but they are depicted as bubble blowers and bath toys instead of the standard action figures and dolls.
On one end of the splash zone is a Woody’s Roundup-inspired slide, next to a Bullseye “rubber duck.”
A Pizza Planet-inspired slide is on the other end.
Slide-a-saurus Rex
Slide-a-saurus Rex, a reference to the Toy Story Toons short “Partysaurus Rex,” is just outside the splash zone. It has a 38″ height requirement and no height maximum, so adults can enjoy it, too.
A figure of Rex wearing a Viking helmet and peace sign necklace is at the end of the slide.
