The reimagined Mickey’s Toontown has opened at Disneyland Park, with updates to nearly every aspect of the land. Designed to be more inclusive and accessible, Mickey’s Toontown uses muted colors, quiet music, open spaces, and plenty of shade to make the space comfortable for all.
Mickey’s Toontown was added to the map in the Disneyland app, giving us a good look at the land’s layout. The reimagined land includes Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at the El CapiTOON Theater, which opened in January. With the attraction’s opening, we got a first look at the reimagined streets of Toontown.

A “Welcome to Toontown” sign lets guests know it’s a “Best Friend City” with Duckburg (“DuckTales”), Spoonerville (“Goof Troop”), Hot Dog Hills (“Mickey Mouse Mixed-Up Adventures”), and Mouseton (Disney comics).
There’s a patch of grass right across from Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin.
Many of the façades remain the same, just with updated details and new paint.
A series of crates have been painted to feature now-defunct Toontown locations, including Goofy’s Bounce House.
Guests can still walk through the Toontown Post Office.
Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin
Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin was updated before Mickey’s Toontown closed last year to have Jessica Rabbit as a detective instead of a damsel in distress.
Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Gadget Coaster
Gadget’s Go-Coaster has been rethemed into Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Gadget Coaster, to appeal to more modern audiences.
The coaster still features references to Gadget, including a statue, but has more references to Chip and Dale now.
Mickey’s House and Movie Barn
Visitors of Mickey’s Toontown are invited to tour Mickey’s house up-close-and-personal with a self guided tour. Guests are met at the front of the house with a sign that invites families to the movie barn to meet with Mickey after meandering through his home and backyard.
The door opens to show Mickey’s bursting closet and a gate at the bottom of the steps with a silhouette of Pluto.
A number of sports trophies line one of the many shelves that give a glimpse into Mickey’s everyday life.
In the backyard, Pluto’s dog house and a lively garden take up much of the space.
Guests will probably want to hurry through Mickey’s Movie Barn to find the beloved occupant, but there is still plenty to see along the way.
It appears the multi-talented Mickey Mouse is in the process of painting this landscape scene as towers of paint cans topple in all directions.
No doubt, this collection of film reels feature the famed mouse, himself.
Guests catch up with Mickey as he appears to be reliving his “Fantasia” days dressed as Sorcerer Mickey. What a perfect opportunity for a photo op!
Minnie’s House
From the outside, Minnie’s house is looking just as lively as Mickey’s, featuring purple, blue, and pink accents.
Minnie’s door opens to her grand fireplace and furniture.
Minnie didn’t appear to be home, so be sure to record any phone messages for when she returns. Of course, you could always let her machine get it.
Minnie’s heart-shaped vanity is also on display, featuring perfume bottles and other trinkets.
Minnie’s kitchen is nice and cozy, lined with plenty of tools for cooking and baking.
Out back, Minnie’s uniquely shaped windows add to the animated feel. Looks like tea has been set as the perfect opportunity for families to spend some time with Minnie Mouse outside of her house in Toontown.
Goofy’s How-to-Play Yard & House
Goofy’s How-to-Play Yard has slides and other fun playground activities. Guests can also enter Donald’s Duck Pond through this archway.
Inside, guests can become candymakers.
Donald’s Duck Pond
Half of Donald’s Duck Pond has not yet opened.
The half that is open has interactive elements that trigger effects in the portholes of the boat.
Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Webby from “DuckTales” appear in the portholes.
CenTOONial Park & Fountain
At the center of CenTOONial Park is a new Mickey and Minnie fountain. It has water tables, a 30-minute loop of music, and a special nighttime lighting package.
A plaque on the ground features Mickey and Minnie and reads, “To M.M., my sweetie, who always sweeps me off my feet! With love, M.M.”
Café Daisy
Café Daisy is a new quick-service restaurant run by Daisy Duck.
You might even spot Daisy greeting guests while they’re dining.
Good Boy! Grocers
Good Boy! Grocers is another quick-service location.
This is where you’ll find the “Perfect Picnic” basket and slushee sippers.
