We hear plenty about wild guest incidents at the Disney parks these days, from women flashing their breasts at EPCOT to plenty of guest fights. But it’s not often we hear about celebrities getting some comeuppance of their own at the Happiest Place on Earth, as happened to actress and comedian Rebel Wilson recently.
During an interview on “The Daily Show with Hasan Minhaj,” Wilson was talking about her engagement at Disneyland and stated she goes “every weekend, every important holiday, and every major life event” before bringing up how she was once trespassed from the resort.
She states “I will say, I did get banned from Disneyland for 30 days because I took a photo inside a secret bathroom at Disneyland which is illegal at the park.”
Jokingly, she added “They called me up and said, ‘Rebel what 30 days did you not want to come to Disneyland because you’re away filming a movie or something?’ And I was like, ‘Oh, well, June would be fine.’”
While not explicitly laid out in the Disneyland Resort rules, taking photos in bathrooms is indeed frowned upon and considered an invasion of privacy by many guests.
Last month, Wilson was engaged at Disneyland with her partner Ramona Agruma. The proposal took place surrounded by flowers outside Sleeping Beauty Castle. Wilson wrote, “Thank you @tiffanyandco for the stunning ring and to Bob Iger and the incredible team at Disneyland @disneyweddings for pulling off this magical surprise!” In the interview, Wilson shared that she had asked Bob Iger’s permission directly for the proposal ceremony.
