*NEW* Torta de Chilaquiles – $13.99
Fresh-made Telera bread with green chilaquiles, chorizo beans, chipotle crema, pickled onions, cilantro, and avocado spread, plant-based
The torta was amazing and a great value.
The bread was super soft but hearty enough to hold up to the filling.
The chips were perfectly coated in the flavorful sauce and the pickled onions added some nice texture.
There is a hearty smear of guacamole to really drive home the dish. There is a bit of heat but not enough to scare anyone away.
Altogether, this was a well put together offering that we would return for.
*NEW* Bulgogi Fried Rice – $14.49
with kimchi, egg, pickled cucumbers, green onions, and sesame seeds, plant based
This is a delicious option with great presentation.
The flavors play perfectly together.
It’s a unique option, especially if you aren’t familiar with Korean cuisine.
*NEW* IMPOSSIBLE Gyro Fries – $12.99
Waffle fries topped with gyro-spiced IMPOSSIBLE ground beef, cauliflower cheese sauce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, tzatziki, and pita bread, plant-based
With all the toppings that are included, there’s too much going on with this dish.
We also think the Impossible meat should have been something closer to shaved lamb, more traditional to gyros, than the imitation ground beef in this dish.
We finished it, yet we couldn’t help but fell a bit let down.
It could have been so much more than it was.
*NEW* Buffalo Mac and Cheese – $13.99
topped with roasted buffalo cauliflower, ranch, and a carrot and celery salad, plant-based
The cauliflower was perfectly roasted and lent a welcome crunch to this dish.
The buffalo sauce was well balanced and not overly spicy.
The ranch isn’t the cheap bottled variety, but rather a custom creation with extra dill which added a great flavor.
Overall, this is a winner, but we actually preferred the Impossible Nacho Mac and Cheese at Avocado Time to this.
*NEW* Peach-Blueberry Cobbler – $6.49
plant-based
Despite having the most unappetizing appearance of any item at the festival, this was actually a very good offering!
The topping was undercooked, but the fruit was fresh, not canned, and the blueberries and peaches combined nicely for a very refreshing springtime dessert.
Don’t be fooled by looks, this one’s worth getting!
*NEW* Wine Float Cocktail – $16.00
Tequila, Triple Sec, Agave, and Lime & Orange Juices with a Red Wine Float
This was really good!
The tequila interacts well with the red wine for a delicious, refreshing and strong cocktail that gets better with each sip.
The 2023 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival will be running from March 3 to April 25, 2023.
