*NEW* Orange Sesame Tempura Shrimp with Orange Chile Sauce – $7.00
This comes in a great size for a festival. While the shrimp are cooked very well, this really needed more of the orange sesame sauce, as we got most of the flavor from the deep fried batter.
We didn’t get much from the sauce, as there’s barely any orange flavoring. We really wished the sauce would’ve come through more.
*NEW* Citrus Baked Brie with Preserved Lemon Marmalade, Limoncello-Macerated Blueberries, and Spiced Marcona Almonds – $5.25
The blueberry mixed with the lemon sauce makes this dish really tart. The dough could’ve been a little crisper for our taste to add a bit of texture.
Still, this is a very unique offering for the festival. We definitely recommend it!
*NEW* Lemon Meringue Pie: Lemon Curd, Lemon Mousse, and Toasted Meringue – $4.75
This is extremely sour and very tart. The crust does nothing but hold it together.
If you love lemon, maybe you’ll like this, but it didn’t do anything for us.
Orange-Lemon Smoothie in a Souvenir Orange Bird Sipper Cup (Non-Alcoholic) – $15.00
As we’ve previously reported, the sipper has been redesigned for this year, but the drink that comes with it remains the same.
This tastes like a Creamsicle with a little lemon sorbet.
It’s very refreshing and flavorful, and makes for a great non-alcoholic drink. We recommend this!
*NEW* UFO Beer Co. Citrus Hazy Wheat Beer, Boston, MA (5.3% ABV) – $5.50 for 6 oz. $9.50 for 12 oz.
From UFO Beer Co.: “Brewed with real Florida Oranges, orange peel, and orange puree, this beer is beaming with bright, citrusy goodness. Each sip will be sure to teleport you smack dab in the middle of the famous Florida Orange Groves this beer was inspired by.” It also adds that it’s “crisp and refreshing, bursting with fresh and juicy orange flavor and a clean finish that is sure to keep you coming back for that next sip.”
81Bay Brewing Co. Citrus Honey Cream Ale, Tampa, FL (5.0% ABV) – $5.50 for 6 oz. $9.50 for 12 oz.
From correspondence with 81Bay Brewing Co., Citrus Honey Cream Ale is “brewed with honey malt and orange blossom honey, contributing a sweet consistency balanced with flavors of key lime and lemon zest.”
*NEW* Parish Brewing Co. Drive Thru: Orange Octane Imperial Sour, Broussard, LA (8.0% ABV) – $5.50 for 6 oz. $9.50 for 12 oz.
From Parish Brewing Co.: “The Drive Thru series was born as an ode to a Louisiana staple: Drive Thru Daiquiri stops. This thick, daiquiri-style sour packs saturated fruit flavor into a high ABV smoothie. The series’ first installment, Drive Thru: Orange Octane, is comprised of blood orange, tangerine, and a splash of lime. With tart orange on the nose and a sweet finish, it pours bright orange and viscous, and it drinks like a Louisiana daiquiri.”
*NEW* Bella Strada Spritz ($12/bottle) – $11.00
From Total Wine: “Fresh and light bodied, this refreshing, ready to drink Spritz has notes of sweet orange, beautifully balanced with notes of bitters and herbs de Provence.”
Orange Sunshine Wine Slushy – $7.00
The wine slush is amazing. It’s just sweet enough, with creamy citrus flavors to make it pop. This is definitely a booth favorite. The non-alcoholic version that comes inside the Orange Bird Sipper is great, too.
*NEW* Orange Bird Bundle Featuring “The Orange Bird” Little Golden Book and Souvenir Orange Bird Sipper Cup – $
