We’ve been warning you about the Spring Break crowds expected in Disney World, but we’ve also noted that they haven’t descended on Orlando yet!
But something weird is going on today!
Remember having “opposite day” in school — where maybe you wore your pants backwards or your shoes on the wrong feet? Well, it’s feeling a bit like a topsy-turvy day in Disney World with wait times.
In the middle of the afternoon — a time when wait times sometimes reach their peak for the day — many rides have waits of 10 minutes or less. And the wait for Rise of the Resistance, which even on less crowded days sees waits of 180 minutes or more, is just 50 minutes!
We’re not talking about the wait for an Individual Lightning Lane — we’re talking standby!
Meanwhile, Disney World rides that typically have much shorter wait times are seeing longer standby waits. Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run currently has a 90-minute standby line!
Over in Magic Kingdom, we saw the wait time for Jungle Cruise as low as 40 minutes.
Over in EPCOT, where the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is open for its first weekend, wait times are looking a bit less off-kilter. The current wait time for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is 55 minutes, and if you want to ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind without a virtual queue spot, the wait is MORE than 3 hours right now.
It’s an absolutely beautiful day in Central Florida, so if you’re one of the lucky ones experiencing this “weird” day in Disney World, congratulations! We’re sure it’s going to be one of those days you’ll always remember. And if you COULD be in Disney World today, but you aren’t, why not? This is one of those days when you can definitely get to the parks later and get on several rides without needing Genie+.
