Adventureland at Magic Kingdom is my favorite land, and I think there are many reasons why it is. I love the area’s theming; we always started in this land every trip, and it’s the home of my favorite Magic Kingdom attraction. Speaking of rides and experiences, I have curated a list of the top three attractions in this land. Now that my list is complete, I want to share it with you. I am curious if you agree with it or not. Let me know what you think in the comments.
1. Pirates of the Caribbean
If you are anything like me, this is the attraction that pulls you into Adventureland. Pirates of the Caribbean has been my favorite Magic Kingdom attraction since I was about ten years old. I know we don’t have the best version of the ride, but that doesn’t stop me from enjoying the attraction. There are so many different layers to the experience. Some parts of the ride are scary, others are funny, and of course, there’s that tiny thrilling drop at the beginning.
When they added Captain Jack Sparrow, it tied into the movies that were inspired by the attraction. Sometimes I forget it’s animatronic because it looks so real, and who doesn’t love seeing him pop up in the ride?
The best part is that this adventurous attraction is perfect for all ages and any height!
2. Jungle Cruise
Jungle Cruise is another classic attraction and fan-favorite that is a must-do. This is where to be if you want to laugh with your travel group. Disney did change a few parts of the ride to fit a new and inclusive storyline they created. I recently rode on this river adventure when my mom was in town, and we had such a fantastic skipper. It’s a moment I’ll never forget, which is why this attraction is so unique. Here, you can make memories with your family, and it’s a fun way to interact with other guests.
Jungle Cruise is just like Pirates of the Caribbean; it’s perfect for all ages and all heights. Disney also has it labeled as a slow-moving attraction, so there are no thrills or scary moments here.
3. The Enchanted Tiki Room
Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room may not be a moving attraction, but it’s still a wonderful experience. Let’s take a quick history class, shall we? The Audio-Animatronics technology that powers the exotic birds and tiki statues was introduced to the world when this attraction debuted in 1963 at Disneyland Park.
Sometimes Adventureland can feel like you are stranded on the sun with how hot it can get and the lack of shade. Visiting this tropical hideaway is the perfect way to cool off and take a break from the heat.
Bonus Round!
Okay, I couldn’t help but make a bonus round because there are two fun experiences here that I think everyone must do, or at least guests that enjoy character interactions. If the rides above aren’t on your Magic Kingdom list, at least try to add these two things.
Meet Aladdin and Jasmine at the Agrabah Bazaar across from The Magic Carpets of Aladdin. It is so great to meet them both together while looking at the magical carpets flying through the air.
The best meet and greet in this land is with Captain Jack Sparrow. There is something about that meet and greet that feels so real and takes you somewhere out of the Disney bubble. It’s almost like you are transported to the Caribbean and ready to board a pirate ship.
I am a huge advocate for meeting characters not only because it’s fun, but because of the memories it creates. So if you don’t want to sing Yo-Ho or don’t feel like hearing a bunch of dad jokes, maybe take some time to meet these iconic characters.
