Over the years, we’ve tried some unique snacks in the Disney parks.
From Blueberry Muffin Kit Kats in the Japan Pavilion’s Mitsukoshi Department Store, to fruity chips in The House of Good Fortune in EPCOT’s China Pavilion — EPCOT has a ton of food options for adventurous eaters. On our most recent trip to the China Pavilion, we found another snack that caught our eye, and we had to try them.
At the House of Good Fortune, we found a new flavor of the Lonely God Potato Twists: Rose Salt. We thought this sounded pretty unique, so we picked up a bag.
This company has flavors like Seaweed, Vegetable, and Tomato, and we thought this might be an interesting floral take on a typical potato twist. We found out that the “rose” was actually just pink salt…so the flavor of these wasn’t as crazy as we imagined. They were, however, a beautiful pink color!
As simple as the flavoring of this snack was — we really enjoyed it! Our reporter said that they tasted like potato and salt and that the chip melts in your mouth once you bite down on it. He also noted that despite being plant-based, they were surprisingly satisfying with a nice, buttery texture.
Overall, they were not what we expected, but we would get them again! If you’re looking for a simple, plant-based snack while you’re walking around EPCOT, you might want to give these a try. Also, don’t forget to take a look at all of the plant-based items available during the 2023 Flower and Garden Festival. We love finding new snack gems in the World Showcase, so we’ll keep an eye out for any new unique snacks — stay tuned to DFB for more!
