If you’re wanting to plan a Disney World trip, you may be wondering “When is the best time to visit Disney World?”
Well, that answer totally depends on YOU. Do you want to avoid crowds at all costs? Don’t visit during summer or spring break. Do you want to be in the crowds on the opening day of a major attraction like Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana? Prepare for busy parks. If you are someone who is seeking lower crowds and wait times on a Disney World trip, you may want to wait.
Genie+ recently hit an all-time high price in Disney World of $35 but on Saturday, April 15th, the price dropped to $25. This is a good indicator that the crowds are starting to get smaller in Disney World.
Park pass availability has also been scarce over the past few weeks, but the rest of April is currently green for all parks and all ticket types. We’ve also noticed a significant drop in crowds as of April 15th in the parks.
But what are the wait times like at Disney World? Which rides should you be concerned about? Here’s a look at the average wait times in all four Disney World parks from the past week! Note: since this is an average of the past week, these wait times mostly reflect the very busy spring break week we saw — just recently wait times have started to decrease.
Magic Kingdom
Starting in Magic Kingdom, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had the longest average wait time of 102 minutes. Last week the average wait time was 94 minutes, so the time has increased by a bit.
Next, Peter Pan’s Flight averaged 84 minutes, Space Mountain averaged 66 minutes, and Jungle Cruise averaged 61 minutes. After that, average wait times had Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at 51 minutes, Haunted Mansion at 44 minutes, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at 43 minutes, Pirates of the Caribbean at 41 minutes, Astro Orbiter at 40 minutes, Enchanted Tales with Belle averaged 39 minutes, and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at 36 minutes.
After that, “it’s a small world” and The Barnstormer featuring the Great Goofini averaged 31 minutes, Dumbo the Flying Elephant averaged 30 minutes, Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid averaged 29 minutes, Tomorrowland Speedway averaged 27 minutes, and Magic Carpets of Aladdin averaged 24 minutes.
Next, Mad Tea Party and Prince Charming Regal Carrousel averaged 18 minutes, Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover averaged 17 minutes, and Mickey’s PhilharMagic averaged 15 minutes. The Enchanted Tiki Room, Carousel of Progress, the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse, and the Liberty Square Riverboat all averaged 5 minutes.
The Hall of Presidents, Country Bear Jamboree, and Tom Sawyer Island averaged no wait.

Heading over to EPCOT, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure took the top spot with the longest average wait time in the park with 92 minutes — this is a decrease compared to last week’s average of 99 minutes. Frozen Ever After’s wait time also decreased this week to 79 minutes.
Next up is Test Track at 71 minutes, Soarin’ at 48 minutes, Mission: SPACE at 32 minutes, Spaceship Earth at 22 minutes, and Turtle Talk with Crush at 17 minutes.
Then, there is The Seas with Nemo and Friends at 14 minutes, Journey into Imagination at 11 minutes, Living with the Land at 10 minutes, and Gran Fiesta Tour at 9 minutes.
Awesome Planet, Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival, Impressions de France, and Reflections of China had no wait times this week.

Hollywood Studios
Now it’s time to talk about Hollywood Studios where Rise of the Resistance took the top spot for the highest wait time in the park with 123 minutes. Just last week, the average wait time was 124 minutes, so the wait time stayed about the same. Slinky Dog Dash is the second-highest average wait time with 109 minutes this week (compared to last week’s 111-minute average).
Other wait times in the park include Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at 81 minutes, Toy Story Mania at 68 minutes, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at 66 minutes, and Tower of Terror at 55 minutes.
After that, Alien Swirling Saucers averaged 40 minutes, Star Tours – The Adventures Continue averaged 27 minutes, Walt Disney Presents averaged 15 minutes, Muppet*Vision 3D averaged 10 minutes, and Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy averaged 8 minutes.

Animal Kingdom
And last but not least, let’s talk about Animal Kingdom! Avatar Flight of Passage still had the longest average wait time this park this week with 121 minutes. This means the time went down a bit from last week’s 130-minute average.
Following that, Na’vi River Journey at 76 minutes, Kilimanjaro Safaris at 50 minutes, Kali River Rapids at 39 minutes, Expedition Everest at 33 minutes, and DINOSAUR at 27 minutes.
Triceratop Spin averaged 13 minutes and It’s Tough to Be a Bug averaged 11 minutes. Both The Boneyard and Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail averaged no wait time.
