The right entrance pavilion at Universal Studios Florida has been undergoing construction and we recently saw that a new awning has been erected.
New Awning Erected at Universal Studios Florida Entrance
As Universal Studios Florida’s entrance is undergoing a refurbishment, we saw that the old awning was removed and a new one was erected in its place.
One of the entrance awning structures of Universal Studios Florida was completely removed a few months ago as the entire area is being updated. New ticket scanners were installed at the park’s exit and are now being used as a temporary entrance.
Here is a look at the new awning for the new entrance pavilion coming to Universal Studios Florida. As you can see, both sides of the awning have been erected.
The awning that covered the old ticket scanners was removed a few months ago. The area remains surrounded by construction walls decorated with movie posters.
When we stopped by Universal Studios Florida yesterday, only one half of the awning was visible as you can see pictured above. Construction seems to be moving along very quickly.
The construction walls extend all the way to the guest services building.
As you can see on the left, the other awning entrance structure remains and is open. The two are separated by a gate, which is sometimes open as an entrance, too.
The old entrance structures have brown shingle roofs and sandy-white columns. It is still unclear as to whether the new structures will have the same design.
Last year, Universal’s Islands of Adventure also got new, themed entry points. The new scanners at Universal Studios Florida aren’t as themed but match the surrounding architecture of the entrance and exit.
What do you think about the refurbishment? Let us know in the comments.
