There are so many projects going on in Disney World, it’s hard to keep track of them all.

Journey of Water is fast underway in EPCOT’s World Nature, the Polynesian Village Resort is getting a new DVC building, and there’s a new restaurant coming to Disney’s BoardWalk. Soon, an upscale hotel near Disney World will be getting a new reimagining as well.
The Waldorf Astoria Orlando, an Official Walt Disney World Hotel, offers a luxury experience to those traveling to the area. Starting in May, it will undergo a full transformation — the largest upgrade made to the property since 2009! These improvements will affect the resort’s lobby, Peacock Alley, Waldorf Astoria Spa, and Bull & Bear, as well as guest floors and rooms.

The lobby will be getting a bright and airy new look, with construction dates between May and mid-June 2023.

Peacock Alley, the resort’s lounge, will be starting its transformation after the lobby is complete: from late June through August 2023.

The Waldorf Astoria Spa will be redesigned with relaxation in mind from August through September 2023. During these changes, spa services will be offered in alternate areas of the resort.

Bull & Bear, the hotel’s signature restaurant, will be getting a more elegant look between mid-August and September 2023. During the construction, guests can visit the temporary location in Oscar’s Brasserie.

Lastly, the Waldorf Astoria golf course will be closed for maintenance and upgrades between May and November. During the closure, nine holes will remain available to guests to play in the meantime.
