It’s spring break season, the new TRON Lightcycle / Run roller coaster is open, EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival is in full bloom, and the crowds have grown pretty intense at Disney World.
The parks are typically busy in the spring months of March and April, and we saw the effects of this hit Genie+ as it sold out AGAIN in record time, even at the highest price point we’ve seen so far.
This week, Disney Genie+ has been hitting record-high pricing of $35 per person, per day. This skip-the-line system in Disney World is subject to surge pricing, so the price may increase based on demand. With so many people in Disney World right now (those spring break crowds are no joke!), the price has surged up to its highest point yet.
This pricing doesn’t seem to be slowing down the demand for Genie+ because, for the 4th day in a row, Genie+ SOLD OUT this morning and it happened before 9:45AM EST!
Already this week, Genie+ has sold out on multiple days. On Monday, it sold out right before noon. On Tuesday, it sold out before 10AM, despite the $35 price point.
We’d recommend booking Genie+ and your Lightning Lanes as early as possible in the day so you don’t miss out. You can purchase Genie+ starting at 12AM (midnight) on the day of your visit, and you can start reserving Lightning Lanes at 7AM.
Disney Genie+ is an optional paid service in addition to the standard Disney Genie. Disney Genie+ allows you to bypass standby lines and enter the Lightning Lane (previously known as the FastPass line) at select attractions by paying a base price, starting at $15 per day, per ticket at Disney World (tax not included.) So far, the highest price we’ve seen has been $35, but that could increase in the future.
Genie+ does NOT allow you to skip the line at ALL the Disney World attractions. There are a few very popular rides (like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, TRON Lightcycle / Run, and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance) that instead have Individual Lightning Lanes, which have their own separate fee. You must pay that extra fee in order to skip the line on those rides. Note that these Individual Lightning Lanes have also been selling out quickly. You can start purchasing Individual Lightning Lanes at 7AM if you’re staying at a Disney World hotel, or when the park opens if you are not.
