Star Wars fans, hold on to your lightsabers!

We keep an eye on all the Star Wars news there is, including new merchandise, celebrity news, and of course, film and TV news. If you’ve been crossing your fingers for some new Star Wars media, three new films have just been announced!

That’s right — we said THREE new Star Wars movies are on the way. The first movie will go back to the “dawn of the Jedi” (aka the High Republic era). That film will be directed by James Mangold (Logan, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny).

A second movie will be helmed by Dave Filoni (The Mandalorian, Ahsoka) and focus on the New Republic (the time between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens) and “close out the interconnected stories told in The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka, and other Disney+ series.”

If that isn’t enough, though, a THIRD movie will be led by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy (Ms. Marvel, Saving Face). That film will bring back Daisy Ridley as Rey and will pick up after the events of The Rise of Skywalker as Rey seeks to build a new Jedi Order.
