Disney twenty-three’s Summer Issue Has Three Different Covers & More

Summer is rapidly approaching and that means a new copy of Disney twenty-three, the magazine for D23 Gold Members will be arriving. Disney’s summer is packed with a lot of exciting movies including The Little Mermaid, Elemental, and Haunted Mansion. Each of those movies deserves to be the cover of the magazine so they are all getting a chance to grace the cover! However, D23 Gold Members will only receive one of the three collective covers created exclusively for the publication.

If you feel like you’ll have FOMO over missing out on one of the covers you don’t get, D23 Gold Members will be able to purchase additional covers at shopDisney.com in May while supplies last. The back cover of the issue is going to feature the Electric Mayhem Band to celebrate the May 10 release of the upcoming Disney+ series The Muppets Mayhem.

Inside the magazine, you’ll find an exclusive interview with Halle Baily (Ariel), director Rob Marshall, Daveed Diggs (Sebastian), and Disney Legend Alan Menken about The Little Mermaid, the background surrounding the elements of Pixar Animation Studios’ Elemental from director Peter Sohn and voice actors Leah Lewish and Mamoudou Athie, and behind-the-screams details about Haunted Mansion from Rosario Dawson, LaKeith Stanfield, and Tiffany Haddish along with director and former attraction cast member Justin Simien.

You might be wondering if there is any information about the upcoming Indiana Jones movie in the publication. Well, you’re in luck. Harrison Ford, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and director James Mangold are all exclusively interviewed about Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

The Muppets Mayhem will be featured beside the back cover with stories from Bill Baretta (Dr. Teeth), Adam F. Goldberg, Jef Yorkes, Leigh Slaughter, Dave Goelz (Zoot), Lilly Singh, and Tahj Mowry. 25 years of Disney Cruise Line, 70 years of Peter Pan, and a sneak peek of the new Disney+ series American Born Chinese will all be featured in the new issue along with the following:

  • A visual tour of the traveling Walt Disney Archives exhibit Walt Disney and El Grupo: A Trip Through Latin America
  • A tribute to the life and legacy of Disney Legend, animator, director, and story artist Burny Mattinson
  • A special By the Numbers: Disney100 looking back at The Walt Disney Company from 1949–1973—the second in a four-part series
  • Regular features including D Society, Character Analysis, and Ask the Walt Disney Archives

All D23 Gold Members receive Disney twenty-three as a benefit of the membership, so sign up today to receive your copy.
